Eravikulam National Park
Encompassing
100 sq.kms of moist evergreen forest and grassy hilltops in the Western
Ghats, the Eravikulam National Park, 13 km northeast of Munnar is the
largest stronghold of one of the worlds' rarest mountain goats, the
Nilgiri tahr.
Mattupetty
The
Indo Swiss Project here attracts a lot of domestic tourists, the exotic
cattle, rose gardens, lush green meadows and the dam with boating
facilities are the major attractions. Top station (14 km) and Kundale (12
km) are the other attractions in the area.
Anayirangal
Situated at a distance of 22 Km from Munnar, it is surrounded by lush
green carpets of tea plants. A visit to the splendid reservoir and the Anayirangal dam gives excellent views.
