Alibaug

Home to pretty beaches along with picturesque views, this holiday destination is merely 3 hours (94 km) away from Mumbai. If you want to take a break from your daily routine and want to chill and relax under the sun and enjoy pleasant weather, then Alibaug should be your go-to destination. Homestays, Cottages, Resorts, and many Hotel options you will have here that offer comfort and luxury. You can cover and explore all the beaches in 2 days as they are located very close to each other.

The most famous beaches of Alibaug are Alibaug beach, Nagaon beach, and Mandwa beach where you have the opportunity to try adventure sports like kayaking, parasailing, quad biking, and of course popular banana boat rides. Chill with your family, do yoga early in the morning, take a walk at night, or indulge in sports, but one thing is sure that you are going to make lots of memories on this trip to Alibaug and would not want to leave this place.

Mode of transport: The best way to reach here by Car and Ferry. Take a ferry ride from the gateway of India to Mandwa Port. Later, you can take a bus to Alibaug.

Matheran

To enjoy simple joys in life and spend your holiday in a serene environment and tranquil ambiance, one should travel to Matheran to relax and clear their mind. Located around 100 km away from Mumbai, this Oldest hill station of Maharashtra is my favorite tourist spot. I have been here and experienced the surreal beauty of Matheran. Matheran has many good options of hotels, homestays, and cottages that provide a comfortable stay. I stayed at Radha Cottage which is situated away from the chaos of the city and surrounded by lush greenery. The property is gorgeous that has a vintage feel and guarantees an enjoyable stay.

The best places to visit in Matheran are Alexander Louisa Point, Panorama Point, Echo Point, and Shivaji’s ladder. If you are traveling by train then don’t miss the chance to take a Neral-Matheran Toy Train to experience amazing views of Matheran. Note: If you travel to Matheran by car, Dasturi Naka is the last point where you have to park your Car as vehicles are not allowed in the main Matheran town.

Mode of transport: You can come here by train till Neran(then by road), car and bus.

Take time to travel to these above-mentioned places with your loved ones. Happy vacations 🙂
