In the sane ashram of Parmarth Niketan in Rishikesh, India around 1999 Yoga was introduced to the world in mass. Since then, The International Yoga Festival-Rishikesh has gained fame and admiration to which people and practitioners travel from all around the world. Initially, Yoga was conducted under the guidance of Pujya Shri Swami Veda Bharat Ji, but then the Yoga asanas were taught by Yogacharya Shri Bharat Bhushan Ji. It is conducted for a period of 1 week alongside the Banks of holy River Ganges in the Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. The festival includes various Yoga and meditative sessions over the course of 70 hours of rigorous workout.

The tentative schedule of events happens as follows:

  • 4 AM : The rising time and the start of first session of Yoga classes
  • 6:30 AM : Different sessions of 1-hour Yoga classes
  • 8:30 AM : 2-hour yoga sessions
  • 11 AM : Sat sang and spiritual talks by various gurus
  • Break
