  • She is a co-director of the Jaipur Literary Festival and Mountain Echoes (the Bhutan Literature Festival)
  • Her debut novel was first published in 1984, “Paro: Dreams of Passion”
  • Her recent novel “Things to Leave Behind” is described as themost famous and ambitious novel
  • Her other books are The Book of Shadows, Shakuntala: The Play of Memory
William Dalrymple – festival director

  • He is a best-selling author of books such as “Return of a King: An Indian Army in Afghanistan”.
  • Won the Hemingway Prize for the Italian edition of “Return of a King”
  • Won Kapuściński Prize for Literary Reportage
