This festival takes place at Diggi Palace in Jaipur, the state capital along with the backdrop of Rajasthan’s marvellous cultural heritage.
The festival has witnessed a variety of voices from India and around the globe such as Nobel Laureates Wole Soyinka, OrhanPamuk, J. M. Coetzee, Man Booker Prize winners Margaret Atwood, Paul Beatty, Ian McEwan along with SahityaAkademi winners M. T. Vasudevan Nair, JavedAkhtar, Gulzar, GirishKarnad.Late Mahasweta Devi, U. R. The events held during the Jaipur Literary Festival are competitions such as Quiz Contest, Youth Outreach programmes, Essay Writing Contest, and Blogging Contest. A set of other and extended events take place like the Morning Music event in splendid places such as Amber Fort and Jawahar Kala Kendra

The Jaipur Literary Festival provides for four types of registrations such as Delegate Registration (Paid), School Registration, Media Registration and General Registration.
