The Lucknow Mahotsav is a 10- day annual festival which is has anextravagant cultural significance. Lucknow Mahotsav is organized by Lucknow District Administration and UP tourism. The young and budding craftsmen can also showcase their talents here or sell their crafts. The thriving festival is a cultural extravaganza indeed and there is nothing that this festival does not host. The royal and magnificent city leaves the tourists spellbound. One just cannot miss the Lucknow Mahotsav and the amazing talents and diversities that it brings together. The festival has over 200 stalls, 50 food stalls, 33 pavilions etc. Celebrities like Shirley Setia, Javed Ali, Pawan Singh and others have also performed in the Lucknow Mahotsav.

The festival generally happens around the end of December and ends after 10 days of commencement, that is around first week of January. The weather is perfect for enjoying the festival and one should take advantage of the same. It is held in SmritiUpvan Park, Bangla Bazaar.

The festival, as mentioned, hosts a variety of events ranging from Sufi nights, ghazals, folk music etc. The tourists visit Lucknow during this time to enjoy the cultural melange and get together of the amazing mix of several things.
