Madhya PradeshMadhya Pradesh is located in central India and is known as the heart of India. It is the second-biggest state in India when it comes to the area. The main source of livelihood of the people of Madhya Pradesh is agriculture, and also the state is one of the major cotton-producing states of India. Madhya Pradesh celebrates a number of festivals, which is classical and beautiful. Some of the well-known festivals are the Lokrang festival, Akhil Bhartiya Kalidas Samaroh, Khajuraho Festival, Pachmarhi Utsav, etc.
Pachmarhi Utsava is an annual festival which is celebrated for 6 days, and this celebration starts on 25th December and usually ends on New year's eve. During this festival, there are a lot of cultural programs and art performances. The programs which are organized in this celebration feature various folk arts of the country, and it also plays an important role in preserving and maintaining the rich cultural heritage of India. Also, a number of stalls are put up where the artisans display and sell various products that are sponsored by the Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation. During this festival, the visitors can not only enjoy cultural performances but can also purchase local souvenirs for keeping it as a memory or gift it to the loved ones
