After arriving in Kolkata, you will be greeted by our rep and transferred to your hotel. Latre you will be taken for a travel and tour of the City of Joy. You will get to visit places like the Jain Temple, a beautiful monument of great architecture and colours established in 1867. This will be followed by a visit to The Victoria Memorial which was built in the 1900s in the memory of Queen Victoria. It is now a museum that houses paintings, manuscripts and other objects of historical importance. Through your ride around the city, you will experience a panoramic view of the Howrah Bridge, Dalhousie Square, Fort Williams, Secretariat Building and the Old Court House Street.
Highlights: Kolkata - Visit the Jain Temple, Victoria Memorial (Closed on Mondays & National Holidays), drive past Howrah Bridge, Dalhousie Square, Fort Williams, Secretariat Building and Old Court House Street.
On the second day of your travel, you will be taken to the Kolkata airport in time for your Bagdogra flight. On reaching Bagdogra, you will be received by our rep at the airport, and then you will be taken to Darjeeling. Darjeeling is 2hours and 30 minutes drive from Bagdogra, and the journey offers you with one of the best experiences of a road trip. The roads are peaceful with lush green trees on both sides. After reaching Darjeeling, check into your hotel to stay the night. Spend the rest of the day at leisure to gain back your energy to be a part of the following fun day.
On the third day of the travel and tour of the North East India Tour Packages, you will get to be a part of the best of Darjeeling Tourism. You will have to start very early to catch the sunrise from Tiger Hill to experience the first golden rays of sun on Mt. Kanchandzonga on a clear day. This will be followed by a visit to Ghoom Monastery and Tukvar Tea Estate where you can encounter the steps of manufacturing the world-famous Darjeeling Tea. In the afternoon, you will get to travel and tour the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute where you will find equipment used by Tenzing Norgay and the popular Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park for its Snow Leopard, Tibetan Wolf, Tibetan Yak, Himalayan Black Bear and several varieties of birds. At the end of the day, you will return to your hotel and pack your bags to start for Pemayangtse on the next day.

After having breakfast in the morning at your hotel, leave for Pemayangtse, situated in West Sikkim. In the afternoon, you will be a part of the travel and tour scheme of Pemayangtse. The sightseeing here includes one of the most important monasteries like the Pemayangtse Monastery which was established in the 17th century. The monastery also offers a fascinating view of Mt. Kanchandzonga. The monastery holds beautiful sculptures, ancient scrolls and artworks with various statues of the eight incarnations of Padmasambhava. You are then to check into your hotel in Pemayangtse for the night stay to rejuvenate and gather energy for the next day.

On the morning of the fifth day, the North East India Tour Package has planned for you to avail our air-conditioned vehicle and start for Gangtok from Pemayangtse. Gangtok is the capital city of the state Sikkim. After reaching Gangtok, you can either spend the rest of the day relaxing, or you can also go shopping in famous street markets to buy traditional and unique Sikkimese products. Take rest at your hotel in Gangtok to have a kick start to the following day where you will get to be part of the travel and tour of the city of Gangtok.
In the sightseeing tour of Gangtok, you will be visiting the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology and the Do Drul Chorten Rumtek Monastery. The Tibetology is situated in the middle of a natural backdrop of oaks and birch trees, and it has an extensive collection of rare books and manuscripts on the Mahayana Buddhism. The Rumtek Monastery is also known as the Dharmachakra Centre, and it houses many important relics. You will then be taken to Enchey Monastery which belongs to the Nyingma order of Vajrayana Buddhism. The travel and tour continue with the visit of Directorate of handloom and handicrafts where you will encounter the manufacturing of traditional Sikkimese art and crafts. You will then return to your hotel for the night stay.

On the seventh day, your travel and tour of Sikkim end. According to the plan made by North East India Tour Package, you have to bid farewell to Sikkim with a bag full of memories and souvenirs. In the morning you will be driven to Bagdogra from Gangtok by our agents from where you will avail the flight for Kolkata. After reaching Kolkata, check into your hotel and rest to be ready for a following action-packed day. The switch of the trip starts here. You will now be at a close distance to the ocean than the mountains from previous occasions.
On the eighth day, you will fly from Kolkata to Bhubaneshwar. Our agents will pick you up from Bhubaneshwar and then drop you at Puri. In Puri, you will check into your hotel and be at leisure for the rest of the day. You will spend the night in Puri to continue with travel and tour.
According to the North East India Tour Package, the sightseeing of Puri will be conducted on a ninth day. The travel and tour of Puri will be one of the most spiritual kinds where you will be able to visit various famous temples. Puri is famous for its beaches, temples and the Rathyatra Festival. Puri is the only place of worship where Radha, Lakshmi, Durga, Parvati, Sati and Shakti share their residence with Lord Krishna. In the afternoon, you can spend your time at leisure or encounter the sunset session at the beach. You will spend overnight at the hotel.

On the tenth day, you will be transferred from Puri to Konark, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At Konark, you will visit the famous Sun Temple which was built in the 13th Century. The Sun Temple is also known as Black Pagoda as it was constructed with black granite material. The travel and tour continue with you being on the road to Bhubaneshwar. After reaching Bhubaneshwar, you can spend your afternoon at leisure at your hotel and spend the night there. Be ready to explore Bhubaneshwar in all its glory on the next day.

Bhubaneshwar is known as the Temple city of India, and it is the capital of Odhisa. The tenth day of the trip mainly constitutes travel and tour of the various ancient temples in Bhubaneshwar to be a part of the spiritual experience. After the tour, if you have time in your hand, you can visit the Khandagiri & Udayagiri caves, which are partly natural and partly artificial caves of archaeological importance. You can also visit The State Museum, The Botanical Garden and the Nandankanan Zoological Park. After the active day of sightseeing in Bhubaneshwar, you are to spend the night in your hotel.

This is the last day of your travel and tour of North East India. You have to bid farewell to the North East of India with loads of stories to remember and tell. On the last day, our agents will take you to Bhubaneshwar Airport from where you will fly to Kolkata or Delhi. From Kolkata or Delhi, you will avail the flight back home. There will be no accommodation for the 12th Day in Kolkata.
