Day 01 Arrive in Delhi. Tour of important places in Delhi.

Upon your arrival in Delhi, you will be transferred to your hotel by a professional guide. On freshening up, you will head out for a tour across the Delhi. The city is the capital of India and is one of the seven Union Territories, which makes it the capital territory.

The first stop at the Delhi tour is the Red Fort. It is an iconic Mughal fortress built in the 1600’s with red sandstone. Many auspicious events and ceremonies take place. Several museums are also spotted along the Red Fort as well. The next destination you will arrive at is the Qutb Minar. The Qutb Minar is the tallest minaret in the world that is made up of bricks. The unfinished minaret started by Aibak was completed by Iltutmish. It is also known for its architectural style and design. It also consists of several balconies as well. Then the next will be the India Gate. The India Gate which is a war memorial built in honor of the Indian soldiers of the British Indian Army who died in the First World War. It was once called as the “Kingsway” and has a majestic arch with triumphal-style gate. Then, you will come across the beautiful Lotus Temple. The temple is built in such a way that its exterior depicts a captivating flower-like structure.Other places of interest include the Humayun’s Tomb, Akshardham, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Purana Qila, and much more. Day 02 Arrive at Jaipur. Tour of important places at Jaipur.

From Delhi, you will be transferred to Jaipur by road.On arrival check into your new hotel where you can relax your muscles.Then head out for a Jaipur city tour. Jaipur is also known as the “Pink City,” due to its outshining pink color. The city is famed for historical monuments that are listed as World Heritage Sites.

The first stop at Jaipur will be the Amer Fort. It is also known as Amber Fort as well. The fort was built in the 16th century incorporating both Hindu and Muslim elements in its architecture. The fort now is a popular tourist destination with elephant rides being provided. Then the next stop you will arrive at is the Hawa Mahal. Also known as the “Palace of Winds,” the Hawa Mahal is built with pink sandstone by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. It was once the palace only for royal ladies. Then, the next destination you will come across is the Jantar Mantar. The World Heritage Site is a sundial instrument used for numerous astronomical observations. The hypotenuse of the structure is believed to be lined along with the Earth’s axis. Then, you will come across the Jal Mahal. The palace is unique iconic as it submerged under the water in the middle of Man Sagar. Post-tour, overnight at Jaipur.

Day 03 Tour of other important places at Jaipur.

Today, you can visit the city on your own. Some famous landmarks include Sheesh Mahal, Chandra Mahal, Johari Bazar Road, Nahargarh Biological Park, KesarKyari Garden, Moatha Lake, and much more. Post-tour, overnight at Jaipur.

Day 04 Arrive at Agra.

From Jaipur, you will be transferred to Agra by road. Upon arrival get transferred to your new hotel where you can relax after your travel.

Agra is also known as the Akbarabad. It is situated on the banks of river Yamuna. The city is the most popular tourist destinations. It is also a romantic spot because of the wondrous Taj Mahal built in the city. It was one of the places that were ruled by the Mughal dynasty for a long period of time. The rulers have their honorable tombs built in the city. Also, they themselves constructed several monuments in dedication to their wives. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05 Tour of important places at Agra. Arrive at Delhi.

Wake some delicious breakfast at your hotel and head out for a wonderful Agra Tour. The first stop is the romantic Taj Mahal. The monument was built by Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died giving birth to their child. The monument is made up of ivory marble and is located on the banks of river Yamuna. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and is a romantic honeymoon destination for many couples as it signifies the Emperor’s epic love story. Then, the next stop you will arrive at is the Agra Fort. The Agra Fort is made of red sandstone. It was built by the Mughal rulers. The fort comprises of the semi-circular dome, four gateways, and marble interiors.It is believed that Shah Jahan destroyed a part of the fort to use the marble for building the TajMahal. Then, the next destination you will be visiting is the Akbar’s tomb. The Akbar’s tomb is built in honor of the Mughal Emperor Akbar who ruled over almost the entire India in the past.Post-tour, get transferred to Delhi airport. Check into your hotel and overnight in Delhi.

Day 06 Arrive at Colombo.

From Delhi airport, you will be transferred to Colombo by flight. Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in Negombo where you can chill and relax your muscles.

Day 07 Tour of the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. Arrive at Kandy.

Wake up to a healthy breakfast at your hotel.Then head out to visit the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. This orphanage was established by the Sri Lanka Department of Wildlife. It is located in the Pinnawela village. The main aim of the center is to take care of orphaned elephants that found in the forests of Sri Lanka by providing them with shelter, care, and food. Then, you arrive at Kandy, where you can check into your new hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 08 Tour of important places at Kandy.

Wake up to some delicious breakfast at your hotel and head out for a tour across Kandy.

The first stop will be the Temple of the Tooth. This iconic Buddhist temple is located near the Kandy Lake. It is part of a royal palace built in the Kandian era. The temple consists of the canine tooth of Buddha. Then, you will arrive at the Kandy Lake that is also famed as the “Sea of Milk.” The lake is a manmade lake that is near the Temple of the Tooth. It is a great place to visit for rejuvenating your mind. The next destination you will be visiting is the National Museum of Kandy. The museum consists of numerous weapons, armory, and artifacts dating back to the past. Post-tour, overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 09 Arrive at the Nuwera Eliya. Tour of important places at NuweraEliya.

Post breakfast, you will head out for a wondrous tour at the NuweraEliya. The first place you will be visiting is the Galway’s Land National Park. This is a small nation park in the city with many rare and indigenous species. It has many exotic native birds, migratory birds, and wild flora. Then you will arrive at Lake Gregory. It a beautiful reservoir that is surrounded by plantations and dramatic hilltops.Then you will arrive at Victoria Park. The Victoria Park comprises of several types of flowers with a pond and ground. You can witness many native and migratory birds visiting the place often. Then, the next destination you be taken to the Lover’s Leap Waterfall, where you can go on a short trek. Then the next stop will be the Mackwoods Tea Museum. Here, you can learn about the process of making tea with tasting as well. Post-tour, overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10 Arrive at Bentota. Tour of important places at Bentota.

After having a healthy breakfast at your hotel, head out for a day tour across the coastal, Bentota.The first stop the tour is the Ventura Beach. Rejuvenate, chill, relax and enjoy as you get to view sunrises and sunsets. Munch on delicious seafood and capture memories with your companion. Then, the next stop is the KosgodaSea Turtle Conservation Project. Get to witness several kinds of rare turtles that are conserved by the management. Also, get an insight over the lifespan, breeding cycle, and much more related to turtles. The next stop you will arrive at is the Bentota Lake where you can go boating. Then, you arrive atMoragalla Beach. Here, get to indulge yourself in water sports like swimming, snorkeling,kitesurfing, surfing,parasailing, and wakeboarding. Post-tour, overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 Arrive at Colombo. Tour of important places at Colombo.

Wake up to some delicious breakfast and get transferred to the largest city and financial capital in Sri Lanka, Colombo. The first stop at the tour will be the Gangaramaya Buddhist Temple. The temple has Buddha statues, artifacts, and manuscripts. It also has many vocational training courses as well. Then, you will arrive at the Galle Face Green. This modern destination is an Oceanside urban park. It has a rocky shorelineand lush greenery around it. Other places of interest include Beria Lake, National Museum of Colombo, Viharamahadevi Park, Independence Memorial Hall, and much more.Post-tour, overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 12 Departure

Post breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight. This concludes the India and Sri Lanka holiday package.
