Cherai Beach is a famous spot due to its calm and relaxing aura. The St. Francis CSI Church is also a major tourist attraction, for it is the first European Church to be constructed in India. Fort Kochi and Mattancherry Place, too, are worth a visit when in the city.

One of the main attractions in this city has to be the famous Viswanatha Swamy Temple that dates back to the 15th century and is the main location for the annual Ratholsavam Chariot Festival. The Dhoni Waterfalls is a great place to spend your time at, apart from the Palakkad Fort and Malampuzha Dam.

Alappuzha, also formerly known as Alleppey, is hugely known for its houseboats along the networked lagoons and canals that are the Kerala backwaters. Punnamada Lake's snake boat festival that takes place annually is one of the most well-known events taking place in Palakkad and is witnessed by a lot of people. The architecture of Mullakkal Temple is extraordinarily magnificent, which makes it so popular among the locals as well as tourists. Alappuzha Beach and Marari Beach, both are some of the best places for a relaxing time, and to watch the beautiful sunsets. India's longest lake, along with a bird reserve, Vembanad, is also housed in Palakkad.

Wayanad is known for its lush forests, especially the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary. Set pretty high on the Western Ghats, Wayanad is home to several animals like elephants, bears, and many other wild animals as well as birds and a great number of species of flora. Wayanad is also home to the famous Edakkal Caves, as well as Soochipara Waterfalls. For adventurous people, Kuruvadweep is the perfect place for water activities like river rafting.

Kannur abodes some of the ancient and important monuments that date back to as early as the 15th century, apart from being a trading port, many years ago. The famous St Angelo fort is the gigantic fort that dates back to the 15th century and is visited by the majority of the tourists. Kannur Beach and Payyambalam Beach are two of the most beautiful beaches, with the former being adorned with several sculptures as well.
