Considered as the most luxurious train in the world, it runs on 5 pre-routed circuits that cover more than 12 destinations in and around North-West and Central India.

Your trip begins at Delhi as you assemble with your fellow passengers at Safdarjung station at 8:15 am. When in Agra, one can never miss the most beautiful monument displaying romance and architectural marvel – the Taj Mahal. You will be visiting the Taj Mahal – one of the Seven Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The epitome of Mughal architecture, the Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum located on the banks of Yamuna River and is a major tourist attraction from all over the world. It is the tomb of Mumtaz Mahal, the wife of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and was built between 1632 and 1653. The tomb is located right at the center of a 42-acre complex that includes a mosque and a guest house beautifully adorned by gardens on three sides.

Come back to the Maharajas’ Express. Or you may also prefer optional activities like a 5-star hotel spa or a private shopping tour or a visit to the tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, often considered as the draft of the Taj Mahal. You may also opt for watching the show Mohabbat the Taj. However, the Guest Relations Executives must be contacted in advance for pre-scheduling your preferred optional activities.

Your brunch and dinner both will be served onboard. Overnight on the Maharajas’ Express.

Day 02 Agra to Ranthambore

Get off from the train early this morning, as you would be visiting the Agra Fort. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty until 1638. Located at about 2.5 km northwest from the Taj Mahal, the fort is best described as a walled city.

You may choose an optional visit to the tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah (contact the Guest Relations Executives beforehand), which is sometimes tagged as the Baby Taj or the draft of the famous monument. You will be served a lavish breakfast onboard on the way to your next destination Ranthambore. Your lunch will also be served on board during the journey.

You will reach Ranthambore at 3:15 pm. And will be taken for an adventurous and exciting game drive at Ranthambore National Park.
