After having breakfast at the hotel, tourists can proceed for the city tour of Jaipur. They can begin with the Amer Fort. Also known as Amer Palace, Amer Fort was the earlier capital of Jaipur.
Note: Elephant rides are available to climb up to the Amer Fort but we do not recommend it as we don’t wish to harm or to use any animal for entertainment or commercial purpose. We never organize any activity or program in which animals are used for entertainment.
Tourists can ascend the fort via a jeep ride. In case you wish to see the Asian Elephant, you can head towards Elefantastic, where you can indulge in feeding, walking, and washing the giant creatures. All the activities are organized at Elefantastic keeping in view the well-being of elephants.
However, you can ascend the fort on an elephant's back (on twin sharing basis) & descend the fort by jeep.
Made up of red sandstone, Amer Fort is a must-visit place during a tour to Jaipur. Built by Raja Man Singh, the fort is divided into four parts, each having a courtyard. Suraj Pol featuring marvelous architecture is the main entrance gate of the fort. There is also a temple dedicated to Goddess Sila Devi near Ganesh Gate, which is another gate of the fort. There are many other structures inside the fort, which tourists can explore. Some of these include Diwan-e-Aam (hall of public audience), Diwan-e-Khas (hall of private audience), Sukh Niwas, and Sheesh Mahal (palace of mirrors).
In the afternoon, you can visit Maharaja City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and Hawa Mahal. Then, you will pass through the pink rose garden and business centers of Jaipur. As a visit to Jaipur is incomplete without shopping, tourists must shop for some souvenirs from the bustling markets in Jaipur. The pink city is famous for carpets, traditional clothes, jewelry, wooden handicrafts, metals, and silk paintings, and miniature paintings, precious and semi-precious gemstones.
