Day 01 Arrival Hanoi

Welcome to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. Our representative would receive you and transfer to your hotel for check-in. (Standard check-in time is at 14:00 hrs).

Hanoi is a wonderful city that perfectly balances the old world charm with the dynamic bustle of new Asia. The spectacular colonial architecture reflects of the French colonial past and the picturesque lakes beautifully contrast with the urbanization portrayed in the cosmopolitan look of the city. The frenzied maze of narrow streets of Old Quarter at the north of central Hoan Kiem Lake is nature’s way of presenting with a mesmerizing line of majestic buildings of the French Quarter at the south with broad tree-lined boulevards.

After checking-in, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure in and around the hotel. Please note that the lunch is on your own.

Dinner will be served at a local restaurant before overnight stay at Hanoi.

Day 02 Hanoi – Full day city tour

Have your breakfast at the hotel before stepping out for city sightseeing. You will be exploring how harmoniously the traditions and modernization coexist in the city of Hanoi. A striking balance of culture, entertainment and food culture – that sums up Hanoi in a nutshell when you are discovering it as a traveler.

Start your morning with a visit to the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, the father of modern Vietnam. This wooden ethnic minority style house used to be his temporary residence from 1954 to 1969. Up next is the One Pillar Pagoda, founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049 – an important spot and symbol for the locals, this pagoda’s shape was inspired by the lotus flower.

Move ahead to visit Ethnology Museum, before exploring places like the Temple of Literature in the afternoon, which is supposedly the first university of Vietnam. Check out the Opera House to the wonderful Hoan Kiem Lake and take a stroll across the famous red wooden bridge to visit Ngoc Son Temple nestled on a tiny island.

It is a wonderful experience to walk through the lively shopping streets of the city and devouring your taste-buds with exotic Vietnamese cuisine. You will be visiting the enchanting Ho Chi Minh Complex which reflects the strong witness of Vietnam’s fight for independence. Pick a souvenir or two while shopping in the local streets.

Day 03 Hanoi to Ha Long Bay

Have your breakfast in the hotel before heading off to Ha Long Bay with your private guide and driver. The drive would take around 3.5 hours. The route is picturesque as you take a drive through the countryside on your way to Ha Long Bay. You would stop by a refreshment spot on the route.

On arrival to Hal Long Bay, embark for an enjoyable boat cruise in the heart of the city before checking-in to your hotel. Welcome drinks will be served.

Ha Long Bay is translated as the “Bay of the Descending Dragons” as the legends say the dragons had come down to protect the place from invaders, and they created the stunning limestone rocks above the sea. If you are looking for an adventurous day out, this is the one at Ha Long Bay sailing through the wonderful rocky islands and naturally formed limestone caves which make the region a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You will be served lunch and dinner onboard. Continue with your cruise as you stay overnight at Ha Long Bay.

Day 04 Ha Long Bay – Hanoi

Start your morning with an early Tai Chi exercise followed by a light breakfast. You will be later served brunch on the cruise, after which disembark and start your return journey to Hanoi with your private guide in bus.

Upon reaching Hanoi, spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight stay in Hanoi.

Note: Dinner arrangements aren’t included for this night.

Day 05 Hanoi City – Ho Chi Minh City by flight

Have your breakfast at the hotel before being transferred to Hanoi airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Arrive at the Tan Son Nhat airport where you would be received by our guide who would transfer to your hotel for check-in.

The day is at leisure. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant before staying overnight in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).

Day 06 Hanoi City – Full day Cu Chi Tunnels – HCMC City

Breakfast will be served at the hotel before taking you to a drive to Cu Chi Tunnels – which is a suburb town located around 1.5 hours away from Ho Chi Minh City. The stretch of the tunnels depicts the amazing experience how the former guerillas lived and fought during the war.

Get driven back to HCMC. And have lunch on your own.

Post lunch, the city tour starts with an exploration of Saigon’s chaotic history as you visit the Reunification Palace. Some of the finest examples of French colonial architecture are explored as you visit places like the Central Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral (from outside) and Ben Thanh Market famous for bargaining.

Come back to your hotel and have your dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay at HCMC.

Day 07 HCMC – Siem Reap by flight

Have your breakfast at the hotel before taking a walk along the local streets to pick a souvenir or two as you proceed to check-out during midday. You will be assisted by our representative and driver who would take you to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap (Cambodia).

Upon reaching Siem Reap, get greeted by your guide and driver who would drive you to your hotel for check-in. (Standard check-in time is 14:00).

Siem Reap, located in northwest Cambodia, is the gateway to the ruins of Angkor Temples. It must be noted strictly that no revealing clothes are allowed in sacred places and temples in Siem Reap. The provincial capital of Siem Reap is located in the South of the shores of the Tonle Sap Lake, which is the greatest sweet water reserve in the whole Southeast Asia. The place is a tranquil location with spirituality bestowed in temples as well as the urbanization depicted offering the best of both worlds. Though temples are the main attractions of the place, a little travel around the region would offer loads of exotic experiences.

Have your dinner at a local restaurant before staying overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 08 Siem Reap Tour

You will be picked from your hotel in the morning after breakfast for the day tour. The first spot to visit is the South Gate – the spectacular huge statues portraying the churning of milk from the ocean. This spot will be followed by a visit to the ancient capital of Angkor Thom, which was built in the late 12th century, Bayon Temple unique for its 54 towers decorated with more than 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara.

Few of the other places where you would be taken to are the artificial mountains of Baphoun, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. The popular temple of Ta Prohm (modern name of Angkor Temple) is next on your visit list which is famous for the shooting spot of the movie Tomb Raider.

It’s time for lunch and you have it at a local restaurant before continuing to the magnificent Angkor Wat Temple – the largest religious monument in the world. Treat your eyes with the massive walls covered with stone carvings and bas-reliefs that are certain to woo your artistic sense.

Have dinner on your own before retiring to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 09 Siem Reap

Have your breakfast and head off for Tonle Sap Lake to discover various features of the floating village activities including crocodile farming and fishing farms, traditional medicine shops, boat shops, spirit houses, floating schools, and several other interesting aspects. Float across the lake to watch the activities closely to comprehend the local life and take a tour to different shops.

Come back to visit Artisans D’ Angkor – a local artisan boutique established to promote Cambodian arts and crafts where a wide display of wood and stone carvings, lacquering, gilding, and silk paintings remain the major attractions.

Wat Thmei is the next destination to explore. It is a small memorial stupa where skulls and bones of victims killed during the regime of the Khmer Rouge during 1975-1979 are found. The Old Market is the last stop of the first half of the day which is the oldest Khmer market in Siem Reap and a huge display of souvenirs such as clothes, jewelry and more.

Take a pause for a traditional lunch served at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, your city trip continues to the Angkor National Museum. It is an archaeological museum housing the collection, preservation and presentation of Angkorian artifacts dating back from 9th to 14th centuries. The Angkor Silk Farm is the next place to go, which is a gallery come workshop and store for silk products. Your tour ends at West Baray – the largest manmade reservoir in the Angkor Park that measures 8 X 2.2 km.

Dinner on this day is on your own before retiring to your hotel for overnight stay in Siem Reap.

Day 10 Siem Reap/ Departure

Have your breakfast at the hotel before taking a walk around the hotel or pick a souvenir or two before checking out at midday. You will be assisted by your driver with your luggage and other formalities before driving you to the airport for your departure flight.

No lunch or dinner will be served on this day. There is no hotel availability on the last day.
