Chandigarh will host Rose Festival from 28 February 2020

The Chandigarh Tourism Department and Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh will host the Rose Festival in the city. The festival will start on 28 February and will culminate on 1 March 2020 at the Rose Garden. The festival will be celebrated on the theme of the “Plastic Mukt Festival”.
It was decided to host this festival at a meeting held at the Conference Hall of the MCC Building. KK Yadav (Chairman of MCC), Senior Deputy Mayor and the other officials of the UT administration and MCC were available in the meeting.
The Rose Festival will include several cultural programs, competitions, etc. for youth, children, and even senior citizens. The aim of organizing these activities during the festival is to ensure the maximum participation of the locals.
Visitors attending the three-day Rose Festival can avail of a joyride on a helicopter. MCC is trying its very best to keep the charges of the ride affordable so that a maximum no. of people can enjoy it. Moreover, there will be food stalls, art and craft exhibitions at the festival.
