ITC opens Welcomhotel in Chennai

Recently ITC Hotels has made an upgrade in its collection by shifting a hotel from mid segment to 5-star category. The Fortune Select Grand at Maraimalainagar has been converted into Welcomhotel GST Road, Chennai.
Situated near the booming IT sector at Urappakkam, the hotel aims at attracting business travelers not only from India but also outside the country. It is the 3rd Welcomhotel in Tamil Nadu.
Anil Chadha, Chief Operating Officer, ITC Hotels said, “We believe that this Welcomhotel property on the commercially vibrant GST Road, will attract a host of discerning domestic and international business travelers.” He also added, “Good infrastructure and connectivity augur well for State’s growing potential as a business and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) destination”.
