The Indian Hotels Company’s iconic brand, Taj recently announced the opening of a new hotel in Tirupati, the holy city of Andhra Pradesh. As the city has the renowned shrine, i.e. Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, it is one of the most-visited pilgrimage destinations in India. Taj Tirupati will offer guests a panoramic view of the surroundings as it is nestled close to the Tirumala Hills.
The hotel will showcase a Dravidian style-inspired architecture, featuring a distinctive design, open spaces, and unique curves. The 106 rooms and suites contain silk wallpaper and local motifs in the floor carpets. The hotel also pays a tribute to the local culture as traditional brass bells are set up at the reception of the property.
