Celebrated in the Hadoti region of Rajasthan, Bundi Utsav is a complete visual treat. It is celebrated during the Kartik month according to the Hindu calendar, which is to be precise, in November and December. This cultural event is not only a celebration of the Rajasthan culture and talent , but it also brings life to the town of Bundi, wherein, but people from different parts also gather around to be a part of this cultural legacy. It acquires a status of something which is more than a festival, a celebration but becomes a unifying tie to unite citizens from different parts to come together and enjoy this labyrinth of cultural activities. Along with this splurge of fun activities, the Bundi palace just adds on to this mesmerizing place with some of the most majestic architecture that India is known to have. It houses the very famous chitrashala paintings that are exquisite to this place.

Thousands of people participate and be a part of the deepdaan ceremony, where men light up the earthen clay pots, diyas and hand them over to the women, who further take it down to the river and release it in the river while chanting prayers. Thousands of lip earthen clay pots decorate and enlighten the entire town of Bundi with its light and holy aura. To watch this beautiful view, people from different parts of this country come to the Bundi Utsav.

Organized by the Rajasthan State Tourism, the Utsav is not only a very important cultural emblem of Rajasthan but also hosts a number of fun activities and competitions that takes you back to a ride of older India.
