“Shree Baba Harballabh Sangeet Sammelan” is known to be the world’s oldest festival of Indian classical music. The music festival is held every year in the month of December, mostly at the end of December. It is a three day music festival held at the sacred Samadhi of Baba Harballabh.
It takes place in the city of Jalandhar in Punjab.
The first Harballabh Sangeet Sammelan that is the first Indian classical music festival was held in 1875 in Jalandhar at the Sidh Peeth-Shri Devi Talab.
This grand music festival is held every year for 144 years now, and it is platform very distinctive musicians can perform and exhibit their art and the interested can be part of this experience for free. The fame of this Sangeet Mela has spread far and wide.
