Celebrating celestial creatures has always been in the records, however, as one of the most unique festivities around the world, the international festival of flowers has been a venture of its kind, which revolves around the celebration of what, is the reason of our existence and plays a crucial role in beautifying this world of ours.

An affair of thirty days which is celebrated in the fifth month of the calendar, it is one of the most beautiful occasions to pay a visit to Sikkim. Amidst the backdrop of towering mountains and lush fields, this season marks a spring-like atmosphere in the cold regions of Sikkim. The temperature is favourable for all those who wish to have a rendezvous with the nooks and corners of the hidden spots in the state. The festival is not just a platform for showcasing the beauty of flora and fauna but also revolves heavily around the academic nature of these essential topics, with the organization of various seminars and workshops to add some education to the topic.

Organized by the Tourism Department of the Government of Sikkim, it aims to the celebrate the diverse species of flowers available in the state, while also placing food stalls to attract crowd from all over the world.

With more than 200 varieties of trees and 550 varieties of orchids displayed along with the variety of foliage plants, the event is an interesting platform for all those who wish to delve into the world of nature and beauty. The display of the central flora of Sikkim, bamboo with almost 25 varieties and alpine plants form the hotspot of attention of the scientists, from all over the world. The festival not just celebrates the natural beauty flourishing in the state, but also pays attention to the cultural exhibits prevalent around it, with food stalls and dance performances to entertain the crowd and handing them something else to savour.
