Day 01 Arrival at Delhi and sightseeing in Delhi

Once you arrive at Delhi, you will be met by our representative, who will help you reach your hotel. Once you check in, we will help you visit the city of Delhi. Our tour of Delhi includes traveling between New Delhi and Old Delhi. Delhi has a deep-seated history, from the Pandavas to the Mughals and then to the fight for the independence. Delhi has had an important role to play in the Indian History. We will help you gain the first-hand knowledge of India’s capital and its past.

Your tour with us will begin with a visit to Old Delhi, one of the oldest living parts of India. Old Delhi was built by Shah Jahan, one of the most noteworthy Mughal rulers of India. There are various markets here selling ethnic clothes, jewelry and other items that you can find here. Now, we will take you to Raj Ghat, which was built in the memory of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation. Our package will take you to the museum nearby, which too, was built in his memory. After this, we will drive you past the Red Fort, also known as the Laal Killa locally. The Red Fort is located in the center of New Delhi and had been the residence of many Mughal rulers in India until 1856. At present, Red Fort is one of the most visited historical monuments in Delhi and houses many museums. Next, you will drive past the beautiful and one of the oldest markets in India, Chandni Chowk. Versatile in nature, you can find just about anything in Chandni Chowk.

After Chandni Chowk, we will take you to one of the most iconic mosques in India, Jama Masjid. This historic piece of the religious site was also commissioned under Shah Jahan’s rule and was built according to the design of Ustad Khalil. The mosque was the central mosque of Delhi at that time.

The next thing on your list is the beautiful minaret of India, built by Turk ruler Qutub-Ud-Din Aibak; it is a world heritage site. We will then take you to Humayun’s tomb, one of the best rulers India has ever seen and to India Gate, which is built in the memory of an unknown fallen soldier. Towards the end of your day, we will drive past the massively built Indian Parliament, President Houseand past various other government buildings.

The last destination for the day is Lakshminarayan Temple, a temple dedicated to Lakshmi and Lord Narayana. We will then take you to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 02 Drive to Jaipur and relax in Jaipur

After your early morning breakfast, we will help you drive to Jaipur. The capital of Rajasthan is also popularly known as the Pink City. Although Jaipur’s history and origin go back to at least 250 years, the name Pink City comes from the time when the Prince of Wales came to visit India. The entire city’s buildings were painted pink, hence the name. When in Jaipur, we will help you visit the various monuments in the city and the majestic Rajasthani Palaces.

Once in Jaipur, we will take you to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 03 Sightseeing in Jaipur and visits to the various Palaces in Jaipur

Your morning after breakfast begins with Raja Man Singh’s fort, the Amer Fort. This fort used to be the stronghold of Jaipur and is divided into four sections, each with a courtyard. The magnificence of the palace cannot be put into words, the palace consists of Diwan-e-Aam - Hall of public audience, Diwan-e-Khas - hall of private audience, Sheesh Mahal- the palace of mirrors, Sukh Niwas- a place where pleasant temperatures are created with the help of water cascades, Ganesh Gate and a temple dedicated to Goddess Sila Devi. Here, you can travel to the palace by climing the stairs or optionally in a jeep or on elephant back.

Next, on the tour itinerary for Jaipur, we will take you to the Maharaja City Palace, which is the perfect amalgamation of Mughal, Rajput, and European architecture. Furthermore, next, we will take you the Jantar Mantar – the observatory that attracts many astronomers and mathematicians from across the country. We will also take you to the Hawa Mahal, which is a palace with a lot of windows and areas through which wind passes into the palace making it pleasant and cool. During your day here, we will also take you to visit the Rose Garden and take you to the main places to shop.

After an entire day’s traveling and sightseeing, we will take you back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 04 Drive to Fatehpur Sikri, then drive to Agra and sightseeing

After your breakfast the next day, we will take you to Fatehpur Sikri. One of the greatest monuments in Agra, a world heritage site, this palace is known for its brilliant Mughal architecture. You will visit the three-arched central portico, which is locally known as the horseshoe entrance, we will take you to the tomb of Salim Chishti, Jama Masjid and other famous monuments near the site.

Next, we will drive to Agra, where you will see the Taj Mahal, the monument of love. Built by Shah Jahan in the loving memory of his beloved wife, Shah Jahan’s monument of love is known as one of the most beautiful monuments in the world. Made of white marbles, the monument of love is located on the banks of river Yamuna and is one of the wonders of the world.

Next, we will take you to visit the Agra Fort, which is yet another world heritage site (UNESCO). This beautiful palace is known for its design, architecture, and gardens. We will show you Diwan-e-Aam and Diwan-e-Khas that is private audience hall and the public audience hall, respectively. Furthermore, with us, you will also get a chance to visit Khas Mahal and Jahangir Palace.

After visits to the two monuments, we will help you spend the rest of the day by taking you to famous places for shopping. Agra is known for its in-lay marble work. After your shopping, we will take you back to the hotel where you will stay overnight.

Day 05 Drive from Agra to Gwalior and sightseeing

The next day, after breakfast we will take you to Gwalior. Gwalior is known for its majestic palaces, temples and various places of interest. On arrival, we will take you to the hotel before we take you out to travel to the various places in the city.

Legend has it that this city was established by King Surajesan. According to the legend, the prince was lost in the woods one day. In the woods, he met a sage called Gwalipa. The prince asked for some water. Upon drinking the water offered by the sage, the prince was cured of leprosy. In return for this, the sage asked the prince to build walls to protect various sages from wild animals. Honoring the wishes of Gwalipa, the Prince built strong walls as per the wishes of the sage and named the city Gwalior to honor the sage.

We will spend the morning relaxing and take you to visit the city in the afternoon. Here you will visit Man Mandir then Gujari Mahal - now an archaeological museum, the beautiful 9th-century Sas-bahu Temple, the 6th-century temple Teli Ka Mandir and the European styled palace, which is now made into a museum, Jai Vilas Palace. Apart from this, you will also visit Mausoleum of the Tansen, as gwalior is the birthplace of Tansen- a famous courtier at Akbar’s court for his singing abilities and was also one of the 'Navratna' (nine gems) of Akbar’s court, Tomb of the Gaus Mohammad and the various shopping places.

After a long day of travel, we will take you back to the hotel for an overnight package.

Day 06 Drive to Orcha and Sightseeing

On day 6, after your breakfast, we will leave Gwalior and drive to Orcha. Established in the 15th century AD by Rudra Pratap Singh, Orcha is a beautiful city and is primarily known for the exploits of Rani Jhansi, who played an important role in fighting the British in 1857.

The stronghold of the city used to be the Orchha Fort, which was built by Rudra Pratap Singh. The fort consists of various areas such as Raja Mahal, Jahangir Mahal and many more. We will also take you to visit the majestic temples such as Chaturbhuj Temple built by Queen Ganeshi Bai and Raj Mandir built by Madhukar Shah, in the city.

If you wish to see the beautiful view of the city of Orcha, you could climb up the Uth Khana. After your long day in Orcha, you will be taken back to the hotel for overnight resting.

Day 07 Drive from Orchha to Khajuraho and sightseeing in Khajuraho

Next day, after your breakfast we will drive from Orchha to Khajuraho. Khajuraho is known for its temples which are erotic in nature. Upon your arrival here, we will take you to visit the various temples here to show you a different aspect of temples in the country. All of these erotic temples were constructed by Chandelas during 945 AD and 1050 AD. The name of the place comes from the dense Khajur trees and was re-discovered by Capt. T.S. Burt and an engineer from the British army in the year 1838.

After your day of travel, we will take you to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 08 Khajuraho tour and flight to Varanasi

On your 8th day with us, get ready to visit the various temples in the city after your breakfast. We will take you to Chitragupta temple that is composed of magnificent 11 headed pictures of Lord Vishnu, Chaunset Yogini Kali Temple, Javeri Temple is dedicated to the Hindu Lord Vishnu, Mahadev Temple Bharatji, Lakshmana Temple, Nandi & Vishvanath Temples, and Shiva’s Vishnu Temple. We will then take you to visit the only Jain Temple in the city, Parasvanath Temple of Khajuraho. We will help you see and visit various other temples here.

Next, we will take you to the airport from where you would catch a flight to Varanasi. Upon arrival in Varanasi, you will have the day for leisure. You could visit the River Ganges’ Ghat and see the evening Aarti, a form of ceremony to worship Gods. Varanasi is said to be one of the oldest living cities in the country; you could also spend the day walking through the city and visiting the various kinds of bazaars.

After your day, we will take you to your hotel to relax overnight during your tour with us.

Day 09 Visit Ghats in Varanasi and flight to Kathmandu

After your breakfast, we will take you to visit the two different ghats in the city. It is believed that dipping in the holy water of Ganges helps you attain salvation. You could go in for a dip in these holy waters.

After your visit to the ghats, we will take you to the airport to catch a flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will spend the night at the hotel for an overnight stay.

Highlights: Varanasi - Boat ride on the River Ganges visiting the Manikarnika and Harishchandra ghats.

Day 10 Visit Kathmandu and sightseen

Kathmandu, the capital and the largest city of Nepal, offers you one of the best experience. Colored and vibrant it is perfect for your vacation.

Starting your day in the heart of the city at Durbar Square, we will help you witness the beauty of architectural feats and structures here. Built between the 16th and 18th centuries, this place is nothing short of magnificence. The perfect blend of modern and ancient styles helps you find beauty in every aspect of the establishment. Furthermore, the carved figurines and engraved stones in the establishment are a sight to behold.

Next, we will take you to visit the expansive Hanuman Dhoka that was built by Monarchs and is laid out in at least 5 acres of land. There are many shrines and temples here. Built under the reign of the King Pratap Malla, this area has many kinds of temples in praise of Hindu Gods and Goddesses. The afternoon in Kathmandu is free for leisure and relaxation. You could visit the nearby monuments of places of interest. You could also take part in rafting along the rivers in Kathmandu and Himalayas. We will then take you to the hotel for your overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 11 Kathmandu Day at Leisure

After your breakfast, you have the day for leisure. You could visit the various monuments in the city, or Kirtipur that means “famed town," which is an old town that was established by Newars, Boudhanath a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has the biggest Buddhist stupas from 5th century AD and is surrounded by Tibetan Gompas or the Namo Buddha with the Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery, which is one of the holiest places in Kathmandu.

You could also visit the various mountains for adventures, or you could simply spend your day at leisure. A visit to Mount Everest is a must when in Kathmandu. We will take you back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 12 Flight to Delhi From Kathmandu

On your 12th day after your breakfast, we will take you to the airport to help you catch a flight to New Delhi. With this, your Central India Tour Packages will come to an end.
