Today, you will be transferred to Agra by road. Agra, also known as, Akbarabad is situated on the banks of river Yamuna. It is widely known for the monuments built by the Mughals.
The first stop will be at the Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is made up of pure white marble and is located on bank of river Yamuna. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and is known for the Emperor’s epic love story. The next stop will be at the Agra Fort. It is made up of red sandstone and has a semi-circular shape. It has four gates and interiors built of marble. Then, the next destination you will be taken to is the Akbar’s tomb. This tomb is built in honor of the greatest Emperor Akbar. Post tour, overnight is at Agra.
Today you will get transferred by road to Fatehpur Sikri, the city built by Emperor Akbar. The tour will begin at the Buland Darwaza or “The Door of Victory” which is the entrance to the city. Then, you will arrive at the Tomb of Salim Chishti. This ivory marble tomb was built in the honor of the Sufi saint Salim Chishti. Then, you arrive at the Jodha Bai’s Palace.
