Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Guwahati – Shillong by road (100kms/ 2-3hrs approx.)

Upon arrival you from Guwahati Airport, you will meet with our airport representative. He will brief you about your tour program and will also handover the travel document.
Later you will be transfer directly by road to Shilong, which is just 100kms south from Guwahati City. On arrival you will check-in your hotel. Shilong is a beautiful hill station the capital of Meghalaya state. It is also called The Abode of Clouds. Evening free at hotel or you can have a short walk around the busy markets of Shilong city.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Shillong – Jowai – Mawlynnong by road (160kms/ 4-5hrs approx. )

Post breakfast, you will be visiting the famous tourist destination in Shilong including Shilong peak, Elephant Falls, Don Bosco Museum, Lady Hydari Park, and Cathedral catholic church. After visiting these places drive to Mawlynnong via visiting Jowai. En-route you will be visiting Nartiang Monolith Park, which is located in Jaintia Hills. These collections of monoliths are believed to be the tallest in the world and later visit a hundred-year-old Durga Temple.
Later continue drive to Mawlynnong. On arrival, you will check-in your hotel Mawlynnong. This small famous village is located in the east of Khasi Hills. It has also won the award of the cleanest village in Asia in 2003. The best time to visit this village is mansoons when there is lush greenery all around including the many waterfalls.

Day 3: Mawlynnong – Cherrapunjee by road (80kms/ 2-3hrs approx.)

Post breakfast explore the Mawlynnong village, which is also called God’s own Garden. Mawlynnong community has started an eco-tourism project in this village, which has the main purpose to promote tourism in their village. You can have a stroll around this village. This entire village is equipped with bamboo trash bins and every villager is very concern about the cleanness of their places and surroundings and you will not found single trash on the roads. You will find a flower garden in most of the house. Plastic bags, littering and smoking are strictly banned by the local community and they use innovative methods of waste management. You will see several tourist points like balancing rock and treetop viewpoints.
Post lunch you will drive by road to Cherranpunjee. On arrival, you will check-in your hotel. Cherranpunjee is located around the Khasi hills near to Bay of Bengal and from here you can see the Bay of Bengal. According to the source it is wettest places on earth and records the highest rainfall in a year.

Day 4 :Cherrapunjee- Full day

Post breakfast you will a full day city tour of Cherrpunjee and surrounding.
Today first you will have a small trek of 02kms to visit the most popular tourist attraction called living root bridge. This living root bridge is a perfect collaboration between nature and humans, which is made by the roots of the Ficus tree.
Later visit Khasi village, the people of this village has discovered the belongings of the Indian rubber tree some 200 years ago. The roots of these trees are wheedled across streams creating incredible natural bridges. The tree trunks are carved in the middle excavated out and then placed rendering to the necessity of the bridge. The long caring roots are then passed through these hollowed-out trunks. The roots start budding towards the directed end. When they reach the other end of the course, they take root in the soil. This procedure can take up to 15 years, and the bridges can bear some 50 people. The most remarkable is that the Double Decker Bridge in Nongriat.

Day 5: Cherrapunjee – Full day city tour

Post breakfast drive to Tyrna which is that the commencing point of the trek to Nongriat village where you'll misperceive Decker living root bridge. This trek will consume near about 1 to 1.5 hours to succeed in there. Stride on the twisty edges of the cliff and then set off for downwards slope, trekking amidst lush green vegetation. Surpass the beautiful villages and four smaller Meghalaya living bridges while crossing an iron cable suspension bridge floating at 45ft above a roaring waterfall, a sight not to be missed.
Evening return to hotel.

Day 6 : Cherrapunjee – Mawphlang – Shillong by road by 70kms/ 2-3hrs approx.

Post breakfast drive back to Shilong.
Today we shall be moving back to Shillong. En-route we shall be stopping at Mawphlang to explore the blessed forest. This forest is protected by local people. The dense Mawphlang forest is an ancient cemetery covered by Casatanapsis Kurii trees. it's whispered that a lot of plants and herbs have medicinal qualities that will cure serious diseases. It also believed that if any plants are eradicated from the sacred forests then the taker is going to be stuck with illness and misfortune.
On arrival, you will check-in your hotel in Shillong and later free time for shopping.

Day 7: Shillong – Guwahati Airport departure by road (100kms/ 2-3hrs)

Post breakfast you will check-out from your hotel and you will be transferred to Guwahati airport in time for your flight to onwards destination.
