Kolkata is the capital of the state of West Bengal, and was once India’s capital, back from the year 1773 to 1911. With its richness in colonial architectures, Mother Teresa’s memorial and tomb, and its scrumptious food, Kolkata is pretty high in the list of places to visit in India, and therefore in this tour. Gangtok lies in Sikkim and was initially a Buddhist pilgrimage. Today it is a famous hiking destination and a pretty well known Tibetan Buddhist centre. Darjeeling lies in West Bengal and used to serve as a well known resort for the British Raj elites. Today it is known for its all so famous black tea and the Mt. Kunchenjunga.

Kaziranga National Park, and Jaldapara sanctuary, are both known for their rich wildlife culture and numerous animal and bird species. With millions of visitors regularly, these places are a sore to the eye for both nature and animal enthusiasts, as spotting numerous of these wildlife species is pretty easy here.

Day 01 Arrival in Kolkata

You will be met with one of our representatives on arrival, from where you will be escorted to and checked in at the hotel. You can spend the day leisurely, followed by an overnight stay at the hotel in Kolkata.

Day 02 Kolkata

Post breakfast, you will be escorted to a sightseeing tour of the city of Kolkata. From Victorial Memorial’s lush gardens, which hold a significant history, along with beautiful architecture, to the space venture in the Birla Planetarium, Kolkata will serve some pretty remarkable places. Indian Museum, the Eden Gardens and the Kali temple also will be a feast to your eyes, and heart. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kolkata.

Day 03 Kolkata - Guwahati flight and drive to Kaziranga National Park

Early morning after breakfast you will be transferred to airport to connect the flight to Guwahati. Upon arrival in Guwahati, you will be met by our representative who will escort you to the famous Kaziranga National Park. You will be checked in at a wildlife resort on arrival, where you will have the rest of the day to relax followed by an overnight stay at the wildlife resort in Kaziranga.

Day 04 Kaziranga National Park

The day will include a morning and an evening safari in the Kaziranga National Park, including elephant safaris. This national park is known for its abundance in several wildlife creatures, in its spread of four hundred and fifty square kilometers. Dating back to 1908, you can spot Elephants, Pythons, Monitor Lizards, Swamp deer, tigers, leopards, sloth bears, hog badgers, capped langurs, jackals, wild boars, and a lot of other animals. Keep your eyes glued for the tigers. Overnight stay at the resort will be followed in Kaziranga.

Day 05 Kaziranga National Park

After breakfast a morning jeep or elephant safari as well as an evening jeep or elephant safari scheduled for the day followed by a local dance performance at hotel. Overnight in Kaziranga.

Day 06 Kaziranga National Park - Guwahati - New Jalpai Gudi by overnight train

Post breakfast, departure from Kaziranga to Guwahati, from where you will leave for New Jalpai Gudi by train. Overnight stay onboard on the train.

Day 07 Arrive at New Jalpai Gudi - Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary

A representative will meet you on arrival at New Jalpai Gudi railway station from where you will be escorted to the Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary. There you will be checked in at a hotel or lodge.

The Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary is the house to and protects several wild life species, especially the one horned rhinos, as well as the Royal Bengal Tigers. Other animals include hog deer, wild pigs, swamp deer and elephants. There also reside a huge number of bird species like the peafowl, the national bird of India. In fact, this place is one of the rare places in India where the Bengal Florican was spotted. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Jaldapara.

Day 08 Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary

Early morning as well as evening jeep or safari rides will be scheduled, where you will be able to spot several animals and birds. The elephant rides are the best way to explore the Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary, and to spot the rarely seen one horned rhinos as well as the famous Asiatic elephants. This thrilling elephant safari is offered in early mornings offer you an adventurous experience. The sunsets are also spectacular to watch in the Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary, so make sure you don’t miss them. These will be followed by an overnight stay at the hotel in Jaldapara.

Day 09 Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary

Another exciting day full of exploration through the jeep or elephant safari will await you on the 9th day of your trip, after the breakfast. The safaris will be in both morning and evening, followed by an overnight stay at the hotel in Jaldapara.

Day 10 Jaldapara - Gangtok

After the breakfast, you will drive to Gangtok, where you will be checked in at the hotel. You will be free to spend the rest of the exploring or relaxing, being in leisure. Enjoy evening walk around market place in Gangtok. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Gangtok.

Day 11 Gangtok

The morning breakfast will be followed by a 40 kilometer drive, which approximates to about 2.5 hours, to the famous Tsomgo Lake. This lake is located extremely close to the Nathula Pass, which is termed as the Silk Route, and serves at the point of entry in China. It stays frozen for most of the year, and you can enjoy the cool surroundings, and natural landscape. You will arrive back in Gangtok in the afternoon, where you can have a late lunch. The rest of the day will be free for your leisure like shopping or roaming about the streets of Gangtok. Overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.

Day 12 Gangtok - Darjeeling

You will leave the hotel after breakfast for Darjeeling, where you will be checked in at the hotel. You can relax during the rest of the day or explore the nearby areas. Enjoy evening walk around market place in Darjeeling. Overnight stay at the hotel in Darjeeling.

Day 13 Darjeeling

You will start the day extremely early, at 4 am, with a visit to the Tiger Hill, which heights 7,800 feet, to witness the spectacular sunrise, behind the Kunchenjunga Range. It will be followed by a visit to the Ghoom Monastery and Batasia loop, moving on to the hotel for breakfast. Later visit some tea estate in the downhill of Darjeeling. You can spend the rest of the day roaming about the city, followed by overnight stay at the hotel in Darjeeling.

Day 14 Darjeeling - Bagdogra and flight to Kolkata and depart

After breakfast, departure from Darjeeling to Bagdogra to board the flight to Kolkata. You will have a connecting flight to your onward destination.
