Tour Overview

The famous Jaipur Elephant Festival used to take place annually on Holi eve. But it has not been held since 2012 due to the pressure of animals’ rights groups. A perfect tour comprises of visiting places that give unique experiences and since the Jaipur Elephant Festival does not take place now. We have substituted the Elephant Festival with a visit to Elefantastic. This 10-days tour starts from the famous Shekhawati region of Rajasthan and takes you to Mandawa, a hidden treasure in the State of Rajasthan. This will be followed by glimpsing at the Rajput culture in the city of Bikaner. Afterwards, you will visit the beautiful village of Khejarla to get a look into the cultures, followed by the royalty of Jodhpur and Jaipur. Additionally, you get to experience the famous elefantastic activity, ending the tour by visiting Agra to witness one of the seven wonders- The Taj Mahal.

Day 01 Delhi Arrival

Upon arrival, you will be met by one of our representatives, who will escort you to your hotel, where you will be checked in. You will have the rest of the day to yourself to wear off the jet lag and relax. Your adventure begins tomorrow, so prepare yourself.

Delhi is the capital of India, and it is one of the most famous tourist attractions here. Been the capital since 1911, when there still was British Raj; Delhi has several marks from both royal eras and the British time period. While Old Delhi has places like the red, Red Fort and the famous market of Chandani Chowk, New Delhi homes places like India Gate, Qutub Minar and Connaught Place. And the food varieties are limitless as well. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Delhi.

Day 02 Delhi – Mandawa

Post breakfast, you will depart for Mandawa, which is considered a hidden treasure of the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan, via a 5 hour drive. After checking in at the hotel, you can start your exploration. The Rajput culture is richly incorporated in this region, from old havelis to beautiful paintings as well as noble houses. You can also, additionally, explore the village havelis of Nawalgarh. Located in the Jhunjhunu district, Mandawa is known for its richness in the Rajput architecture and culture. It has distinct forts and beautiful havelis and is an exceptionally heavenly place for art lovers, given the fresco paintings gracing the old noble houses. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Mandawa.

Day 03 Mandawa – Bikaner

Post breakfast, you will leave for a 3 hours long drive towards Bikaner. After checking in at the hotel, you can start by visiting the famous Junagarh fort, and witness the lavish lifestyle the emperors had back in the day. This can be followed by a visit to the Bhandasar Jain temple, which is known for its beautiful architecture, being created using red sandstone and white marble stones, topped with interiors decorated with detailed mirror work. Bikaner is one of those places that are known for their rich history of the royal era. One such example is the Junagarh Fort. Surrounded by the Thar Desert, Bikaner also houses the famous Lalgarh Palace, Prachina Museum and the utmost famous Rampuria Havelis. Overnight stay at the hotel in Bikaner.

Day 04 Bikaner – Khejarla

After having a healthy breakfast, you will depart for the village of Khejarla, which lies in the east of the Blue City of Jodhpur. It is known for the famous Durga temple, built in her honour. After checking in you go to check out that temple, followed by exploring the streets of the village, mingling with the locals.

Khejarla is a small village in the east of Jodhpur and is known for its famous castle, Fort Khejarla, which is now a five-star hotel, as well as the well-known Durga Temple. It used to be a line of defense against the Mughal armies coming through Agra and Delhi. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Khejarla.

Day 05 Khejarla – Jodhpur

After breakfast, you will leave for a 2 hours long drive towards Jodhpur, where you will be checked in post arrival. You can start with a city tour starting from the Mehrangarh Fort, followed by the famous Jaswant Thada and Mandore Gardens.. Jodhpur is known as the Blue City due to its signature Blue buildings from the royal era. It has several marks left by the emperors, including the Meherangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan and Jaswant Thada. It is known for its authenticity, as well as the beauty spread everywhere. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Jodhpur.

Day 06 Jodhpur – Jaipur

Post breakfast, you will leave for the Pink City of Jaipur, via a 6 hours long drive. Upon arrival, you will check in at the hotel, and have the afternoon to yourself, where you can browse the various markets. In the evening, you can take a visit to the famous Rajmandir, the auditorium known for its beautifully designed interiors, to watch a Bollywood flick. Jaipur is known as the pink city for the same reason Jodhpur is known as the Blue one- the signature hue of the buildings. Known for its culture, Jaipur is also famous for its royal history and the historical monuments including the Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, City Palace and the beautiful Observatory of Jantar Mantar. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Jaipur.

Day 07 Jaipur

After breakfast, you can start exploring the city. Starting from the famous Amer Fort, located at the outskirts of Jaipur, you can make your way towards the famous Jantar Mantar. Additionally, you can also visit Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. In the evening, you can pay a visit to Sanganer, and understand the various techniques of the famous block printing art, Rajasthan is known for. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Jaipur.

Day 08 Jaipur- Elefantastic

Today you get to join in the amusing Elefantastic activity. After breakfast, you can make your way to experience the same. Elefantastic is an Elephant Rehabilitation Centre located on the outskirts of Jaipur. This center offers an activity by the same name to visitors so they can gain insights into the lives of elephants. This activity is organized keeping in consideration the health and well-being of giant creatures. Tourists can participate in the activity as per their desires. The activity includes different things like feeding, painting and bathing. These activities can be really enjoyable not only for visitors but for elephants as well. As the elephant is a symbol of God in Indian culture, it is believed that feeding and taking care of God is a good deed. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Jaipur.

Day 09 Jaipur – Agra

After breakfast, you will leave for the famous city of Agra, en route Fatehpur Sikri, to witness the famous Buland Darwaza. After arrival in Agra, you will be checked in at the hotel. You can start your sightseeing tour by visiting the Agra Fort, to appreciate the beautiful architecture. You can have the evening for roaming through the streets of Agra, and look at the beautiful views. Agra is one of the cities in Uttar Pradesh, the most known for it being the home of one of the seven wonders of the World- the Taj Mahal. Built by emperor Shah Jehan, in memory of his most beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, to house her tomb, the Taj Mahal is one of the most visited tourist attractions in India, and people from all over the world visit this locale to witness the white marbled beauty. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Agra.

Day 10 Agra – Delhi and depart

After breakfast, you can then leave to witness one of the seven wonders of the world- the Taj Mahal, without which your trip will be incomplete. Then you will leave for Delhi, from where you will depart for you onward destination, embarking an end to your memorable tour.
