Day 01 Arrive Mumbai

Upon arrival in Mumbai, our representatives will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel where you will have an overnight stay.

Day 02 Mumbai-Walvanda

In the morning after having your breakfast, the journey will begin with the first visit to Walvanda village which is about 95 km outside Mumbai and that’s home to native Warli tribe. Warlis are famous for their ancient art form and they constitute as the biggest tribe in Palghar district. Get a glimpse of the significant routines and habits of these people as you socialize with them, have lunch in their homes, participate in daily chores and listen to their unique and interesting stories. Later in the afternoon take a round in the village to take a view of their livelihood activities, have a look at their agricultural practices such as rice cultivation, enjoy a quick and energetic traditional Warli dance followed by dinner. Then you will have an overnight stay in Walvanda.

Day 03 Walvanda

After having breakfast, you will get a chance for full day exploration around the villages. Learn every little thing of their lives, visit their homes and exchange your perceptions and views with them. From tasting their cuisines to understanding their work practices, learn some captivating facts and styles of their living. Explore Warli art and understand their paintings that showcase different aspects of the life and environment of Warli. Interact with the craftsman and try to get knowledge about the history and details of this art form. Later in the evening have a good time enjoying tribal dance along with campfire followed by dinner and overnight stay.

Day 04 Walvanda- Dehna

In the morning, after having a good breakfast, we will continue with our wonderful journey towards the next charming village which is Dehna. This is a remote village located along the River Sai. This village fascinates number of tourists and people to its rural rustic life. It is surrounded by beautiful Western Ghats and has stunning views. The residents of Dehna will welcome you with a warm smile into their homes. After getting freshen up, spend some time in the orientation activity with the village locals. And get a perspective of their daily activities and lifestyle. Later take a tour through the village to know about the farming activities and enjoy the beautiful nature. After a tiring day, in the evening enjoy bonfire followed by simple yet tasty dinner. This day-long trail in Deana will empower your knowledge about the diverse culture that India has and will completely mesmerize you.

Day 05 Dehna- Purushwadi

Start with the morning tea and a walk around the nearby villages to breathe in some fresh air and a sight of beautiful green farms. After returning back have breakfast and then again resume your villages tour by heading to the next destination that is Purushwadi village located in Ahmednagar district. This village is like a heaven for nature lovers. It is a home to many indigenous tribes, and it is gaining popularity as an eco-tourism spot. At Purushwadi visitors get a chance to experience tranquil village lifestyle, warm welcome by the locals in a very traditional way and scrumptious home cooked food. The tribes of Purushwadi are known as rice cultivators and skilled animal herdsmen. The inhabitants of Purushwadi include tribes such as Bails, Kolis, Mahadevs, Thakars, Pardhis and many more. Purushwadi is prominent for fireflies festival, where thousands of fireflies are visible at night and it is an amazing view to catch sight of.

On reaching Purushwadi, transfer to homestay, freshen up and delve in interacting with the natives to know about their daily lives and cultural practices. This will be followed by dinner and overnight stay in Purushwadi.

Day 06 Purushwadi

After breakfast in the morning, start the village tour and visit the homes of villagers, have a glimpse of their way of living and try your hand to prepare the traditional delicious food. Walk around the village to notice their rice cultivation and animal husbandry practices. The beauty of this tribal village will leave you spellbound. Your day will end with dinner followed by overnight stay in Purushwadi.

Day 07 Purushwadi- Mumbai

After having breakfast and tea, enjoy a little more serenity and spend some time chatting with the locals before heading towards the hustle and bustle of the city. Further end the pleasant journey and drive back to Mumbai. Upon arrival in Mumbai, you will be escorted to the hotel where you can rest. Evening is free to spend your leisure time. An overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 08 Mumbai- Departure

You will be transferred to Mumbai airport for onward journey. This marks an end to the incredible tour of villages which was filled with joy and remarkable insights of cultural heritage. With all the beautiful pictures and unforgettable memories, this trip will always be cherished.
