Madhya Pradesh is called "Heart of India" as it is located in central India. it shares its boundaries with Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharastra, Chattisgarh, and Gujrat that means it is accessible from these states and you can include Madhya Pradesh in your itinerary while planning a trip. Madhya Pradesh has almost everything, which a tourist wants to include in their trip. It is also known for its religious hubs of Buddhism, Jainism, Hinduism, and Islam. This 14 days tour itinerary included many World Heritage sites, beautiful ancient temples, magnificent fort, Jyotilingas, National park and wild life sanctuaries, lakes, breath-taking falls and ancient rock caves.

Day 01: Arrive Delhi Airport

Upon arrival at Delhi International airport, you will meet with airport representative, who will assist you from Delhi airport to your pre-booked hotel. He will help you in check-in and will brief about your tour program.
Rest of the day free at hotel.

Day 02: Delhi – Agra - Dholpur by road (300 Km 6-7hrs approx.)

After breakfast, proceed to visit Agra and on arrival you will be taken direct to Taj Mahal. . Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and it was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved queen Mumtaj Mahal. It is a white marble monument located on the bank of Yamuna River.
Your next stop would be Agra Fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and it was built in the 16th century by Mughal Empire. Here you will be visiting Diwan-e-Aam and Diwan-e-Khas, Khas Mahal and Jahangir Mahal.
After visiting you will have a lunch at local restaurant and later continue drive to Dholpur which is 90kms from Agra in Rajasthan state, on the bank of Chambal River. On arrival you will check-in your hotel.

Day 03:- Dholpur – Morena – Gwalior by road (65 Km & 02-3hrs approx.)

Post breakfast, you will enjoy Chambal Boat Safari in Chambal river. It is one of the cleanest and unpolluted rivers in north India. it is home to a rich diversity of flora and fauna. Here you can spot rare Ganges River Dolphins, Indian Crocodiles, migratory birds.
After having explored the wildlife in Chambal River, you will drive by road to Gwalior via visiting Moreno en-route.
Morena is famous for its temples and you will be taken to Mitawoli Temple, which is located in Mitawoli village. A climb of 100 steps takes you to a small hill, where you will see Chausath Yogini Temple. Later visit Padvali fort, which was built in the 18th century by Jat Ranas rulers of Dhaupur. This fort has a temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva, after paying homage, your next stop would be Bateshwar Temples, where you will see approximately 200 small temples made of sandstones. These temples spread over 25 acres. According to legends, these temples were constructed between the 08th to 10th centuries during the Gurjara-Pratihara Dynasty. The surrounding forest is full of beautiful birds likes Peacock and Kingfisher.
After visiting these temples, you will drive continue to Gwalior. On arrival, you will check-in your hotel.

Day 04:- Gwalior – City tour

Post breakfast you will have a full day city tour of Gwalior. In the morning you will be visiting Tomb of Ghuas Mohammad, Tomb of Tansen, Jai Vilas Palace and Scindia Museum.
Tomb of Ghaus Mohammad - Ghuas Mohammad was an Afghan prince who helped Mughal emperor Babur to win the Gwalior fort. This tomb is a fine specimen early Mughal architecture and it is the most famous building in the city which was built in the 16th century.
Tansen was the greatest musician of India and he was also among one of the nine gems of Mughal court during the rule of Akbar. He was also the student of Mohammad Ghaus, who taught him Indian classic music. His tomb is located near to the tomb of his Guru Mohammad Ghaus. This tomb is a beautiful piece of architecture and The annual Tansen Music Festival is here held here every year.
Jai Vilas palace is one of the most popular tourist attractions of Gwalior. It is a palace now converted into a museum called Scindia Museum. This is one of the most expensive museums in India, here you will find many antique item which are made by the gold and decorated by precious stones. Here you will find a huge dining table with a silver train that serves the food or dishes to the guest because this train rotates itself around the table. Post lunch you will be visiting Gwalior fort which is located on the hill, offering the view of the entire Gwalior Town. It is one of the biggest forts in India and was built in the 08th Century. Here you can Gwalior fort, Man Mandir Palace, Saas Bahu Temple, Gurudwara Data Bandichhod, Gujari Mahal, and Teli ka Mandir.
Evening you can enjoy light and sound show at Gwalior Overnight Gwalior.

Day 05 :- Gwalior – Orchha (150kms/ 5-6hrs approx.) via visiting Jain Temple of Sonagiri.

Post breakfast drive early to Orchha en-route you will be visiting Sonagiri, which is famous for its beautiful Jain temples. It is just located 15km before to Datia and a popular Jain pilgrimage of Sonagir. Sonagiri means the golden mountain. Here you will see around 77 Jain temples, which dedicated to Chandranatha. These temples were built in the 17th century and all temples are standing in rows on the hills and its slopes.
Later visit Bir Singh Palace is the most impressive monuments, which is built by Bundela king Raja Bir Singh Deo in the 16th century. It represents one of the best architecture of the Bundela dynasty, which is built on hill rock.
Later continue drive to Orchha and on arrival, you will check-in your hotel. This is a small town which is located on the banks of Betwa river.
Evening you can attend the prayer ceremony at Ram Raja Temple.

Day 06: Orchha - Khajuraho by road (180kms/ 4-5hrs approx.)

Post breakfast you will be visiting the famous tourist palace in Orchha including Jahangir Mahal, Orchha Palace, Rai Praveen Mahal, Chautbhuj Temple, and Chattri near to the bank of Betwa River. After visiting Orchha, continue to drive to Khajuraho.
On arrival, you will check-in your hotel.

Day 07 : Khajuraho - Panna National Park (50km & 01 Hrs approx.)

Morning breakfast at hotel
The Khajuraho sight-seeing will take you to temples like Chaunset Yogini Kali Temple, Bharatji, or Chitragupta temple that is composed of magnificent 11 headed pictures of Lord Vishnu, Lakshmana Temple, Mahadev Temple, Nandi & Vishvanath Temples, and Shiva Vishnu Temple. The Parasvanath Temple of Khajuraho is the only Jain temple that still exists. The Javeri Temple is dedicated to the Hindu Lord Vishnu. The other temples you can visit are dedicated to Lord Brahma, Lord Adinath and Yamuna
Later check-out and drive by road to Panna. On arrival, you will check-in your hotel.
Later enjoy the afternoon jeep safari into Panna National Park. This park is the home of many wild-animal likes, tigers, deer, antelope, vultures, wolf, chinkara, cheetal, and lots more. During the jeep safari, you will also visit some beautiful waterfall, which flows in Ken River.

Day 08:- Jabalpur to Bhopal by road via visiting Sanchi Stupa & Udaygiri Caves (350km/7-8hrs

Post breakfast you will drive early to Bhopal and en-route you will be Udaygiri Caves and Sanchi Stupa.
Udaayagiri caves are located near to the Vidisha region and according to legends, these caves were built Chandragupta II between 04th to 05th Century AD. These temples were dedicated to the Hindu goddess. Here you will find the figure of Vishnu in his incarnation as the boar-headed Varaha. Here you will find many inscriptions on the cave walls, which gives us more information about Gupta Dynasty.
After visiting these wonderful caves, continue drive to Sanchi which is just 15 Km en-route of Bhopal.
Sanchi Stupa is one of the famous Buddhist shires and it is alson known for its anicent art and architecture. It was built by King Ashoka in 03rd Century B.C. This beautiful stupa is surrounded by toranas that reflect the various forms of life like love, peace, trust, and courage. It is one of the well-preserved ancient Stupas in India.
After visiting the Sanchi stupas continue to drive to Bhopal.
On arrival, you will check-in your hotel.

Day 09:- Bhopal – Same day excursion of Bhimbetka caves and Bhojpur Temple.

Post breakfast you will have a full day excursion tour of Bhimbetka caves and Bhojpur temple which is around 50kms away.
Bhimbetka cave is a decelerated World Heritage site, which exhibit the ancient art and rock-out architecture of our country. According to Hindu Mythology, these caves belong to Bhima, one of the Pandavas of Mahabharata. It is believed that this was the first cave where Pandavas rested after being exiled from their Kingdom. Here you will see many impressive collections of paintings and ancient artefacts.
Later visit Bhojpur, which was found by the Paramar King of Dhar Raja Bhoja. It has a magnificent Shiva Temple and a cyclopean dam. This Bhojpur temple is also known as Somnath of the east and beautifully carved and well designed. There is Shiva lingam in the main sanctum, which is 07 feet tall and 17.8 feet broad.
Return back to Bhopal and visit Bharat Bhawan, Taj ul Masajid, Jama Masjid, and Bhopal lake.
Overnight Bhopal.

Day 10:-Bhopal - Ujjain by road (190 Kms & 04-5rs)

Post breakfast drive by road to Ujjain, which is 190kms west from Bhopal city. On arrival you will check-in your hotel and later follow the city tour including some important temples like Mahakaleshawar temple, Har Siddhi Temple, Gopal Mandi, Ved Shala.
Evening attend the prayer ceremony at Shipra river.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 11 : Ujjain – Mandu – Maheshwar by road (190kms 5-6hrs approx.)

Post breakfast you will check-out from your hotel and later drive by road to Maheshwar via visiting Mandu en-route.
Arrive at Mandu and here you will be visiting Jahaz Mahal, Hindola Mahal, Jahangir, Mahal, Hoshang Shah Tomb, and Baz Bahadur Palace.
Later continue drive to Maheshwar and on arrival, you will check-in your hotel. Maheshwar is a small temple town located on the bank of Narmada River. It is known for its spiritual importance, it is mentioned in the epic of Ramayana and Mahabharata. It is also popular for making Maheshwari sarees, which are made by silk and cotton.

Day 12- Maheshwar – Omkareshwar by road (70kms/ 2-3hrs)

Post breakfast you will follow the city tour of Maheshwar including Maheshwar, Kaleshwar temple, Akhileshwara temples. Later you will be visiting Maheshwar fort and Ahiliya Bhai Holker Fort.
You can also enjoy a boat ride at Narmada river.
Later check-out and drive by road to Omkareshwar, which is located 70kms east from Maheshwar and located on the bank of Narmada river and it is one of the 12th Jyotirlingas shrines of Lord Shiva. This Temple is located on the Island, one part of Island is called Omkareshwar and 2nd part is called Amareshwar
On arrival, you will be visiting Omkareshwar Temple and having the darshan of the main Jyotirlings and attend the prayer ceremony at Temple.

Day 13 : Omkareshwar – Indore by road (90kms/ 2-3hrs approx.)

Post breakfast you will check-out from your hotel and later drive by road to Indore. On arrival, you will follow the city tour of Indore. Indore is awarded the cleanest city of India and it is located on the bank of river Sarasvati and River Khan. It is also called the commercial capital of the state.
Today you will visit the most interesting tourist palace such as Rajwada Palace, Lal Bagh Palace, Central Museum, Annapurna temple, Chatti Bagh, Kanch Ka Mandir, and Mahatama Gandhi Townhall.
Later check-in your hotel.

Day 14 : Indore – Delhi by flight

Post breakfast you will check-out from your hotel and transfer to Indore airport in time for your flight to Delhi. On arrival you will wait inside the airport in transit and will catch another flight to your onwards destination.
