Day 01 : Arrival at Kolkata Airport

Welcome to India. On your arrival at Kolkata International Airport, our airport representative will be available to welcome you with your name placard. He will assist you from Airport to your Hotel and check-in your hotel.
Rest of the day free at hotel.
Overnight at hotel

Day 02 : Kolkata – Dimapur by Flight & Dimapur – Khonoma village by road 80kms/ 2- 2hrs approx.

Breakfast at the hotel.
Later check-out transfer to Kolkata Airport in time for your flight to Dimapur. On arrival from Dimapur Airport, you will be transferred by road to Khonoma village.
Khonoma village is just 80kms / 03 hrs drive away from Dimapur. Khonoma is a beautiful village which is famous for its cultures and it is the first green village in India. It is inhabited by Angami Naga Tribe, known for their bravery and martial arts skills.
On arrival you will check-in your hotel and rest of the day free at hotel.
Dinner and stay at the hotel.

After breakfast you will follow the city tour of village.

Today you will see various types of activities and tours in Khonoma village. You will interact with local farmers and will know about various agricultural methods. Here you will learn about following the management of its Adler tree. You will amaze to see the beautiful terrace carved out of the hill slopes, it’s grow over 40 different varieties of crops in a year.
This village has established The Khonoma Nature Conservation and Tropogan (KNCTS) which is the part of Khonoa green village project. This is managed and run by local people of the Village Tourism Broad. This project is mainly for increasing tourism activities in the village, it also conserves the endangered and rare species of plants and animals.
Afternoon you can interact with local people of Khonoma to know about their lifestyles and cultures if time permits you can participate in their local games called Kene. Later explore the village and market.
Evening you will join as host of local gathering.

Day 04 : Khonoma –Touphema via visiting Kohima ( 60kms-3-4hrs approx.)

Early morning you can explore the village on foot and it is best time to catch the local villagers with their different type of work routine.
After breakfast check-out from the hotel and drive to Jakhama village which is 18kms south from Kohima. Jakhama village is a ideal palace if you want to know more about Naga people ( Angami Tribe). Here you will explore various tourist attractions and can also taste local rice beer. This is the palace where hornbill festival takes place every year.
Later visit continue drive to Kohima which is the capital of Nagaland and follow the city tour. First, you will be taken to 2nd World war Cemetery and Memorial; it is dedicated to all the soldiers who died during the Second World War against the Japanese army. Next you will be visiting state museum and Handicraft emporium. Later you will be visiting the local market of Kohima which is a full variety of food products like vegetables, fruits, species, and meats. You can see local people selling different kinds of insects such as live frogs, worms, eels, and snails which are delicacies of the Naga tribe.
Then continue to drive Touphema village. Touphema is one of the ancient heritage villages of Nagaland, which is just 40kms/1 hour north from Kohima. This is the place where you will see Angami community plays a very important role to improve the infrastructure and accommodation for tourist. Angami Tribal resort is run by local people; here you will get the chance to stay in Naga huts, which will be equipped with modern toilets.

Day 05 : Touphema – City tour

Morning breakfast at hotel.
Today you can explore Tuophema village and later you will have a soft trek to reach a neighboring tribal village called Gariphema. This village has been declared India’s first tobacco- free village and it is also famous for protection of wildlife, forest, and developing work culture and a peaceful environment.
Evening you will be enjoying traditional folk dance, songs, and games later will be followed by dinner.
Night stay at the hotel

Day 06 : Touphema – Longkhum via visiting Wokha by road 110kms/ 3-4hrs approx.

Early morning breakfast and later check-out and drive by road to Longkhum. En-route you will be visiting Wokha Market.
Wokha is also famous for fruits like Oranges, Passion fruits, Plum, and Bananas. The soil types are recent Alluvium, old Alluvium Mountains valley Lateritic soil, brows forest, and podzolic soils. You can also purchase here local handicrafts which are made by the local people.
Later continue drive to Longkhum. Longkhum is an ancient village of Naga Hills. This village is called a vanguard village of the Ao tribe and earlier this tribe is known for head hunting. They have a belief that this village is the resting place for the spirit dead soul before their journey to heaven. Lined cherry tree road approach to this village, which makes a very interesting and unforgettable drive for this village.
On arrival, you will check-in your hotel and later explore the village. You will find several splendid viewpoints where you can click the photos.

Day 07 : Longkhum – Mokokchung – Jorhat by road (130kms/ 5-6 hrs)

After breakfast you will check-out from your hotel and drive to Jorhat via visiting Ungma village and Mockuckchung Bazar.
Ungama is a historic village which is inhabited by Ao Naga tribe. Here you can view the folklore, traditions, and customs of Ao Naga Trible. It is one of the more developed villages in Nagaland states. Later continue drive to Jorhat via visiting the market of Mokokchung. On arrival at Jorhat, you will check-in your hotel.
Jorhat is culturally and commercially an important city of Assam state. It is mainly famous for tea plantation and also known Tea capital of the World. It is also part of rich heritage culture. Dinner and stay at the hotel.

Day 08 : Excursion of Majuli Island (02 hrs one way)

Morning breakfast at hotel.
Later you will have full-day excursion tour of Majauli Island. Majauli islands are the biggest river islands in the world, which is built by mighty river Brahmaputra. Majauli island is called the culture capital of Assam, it is inhabited mostly by tribal people.
You will be driven to Neemati Ghat, from here your journey will start with a ferry for Majauli island. On arrival in Majauli you will be exploring the local tourist places and interact with local people and will know more about their lifestyle and culture. You will be visiting Kamlabari Satra, Garmur, Dakhinpat Satra, Auniati Satra. You can stroll around the village/
Afternoon you will be visiting a tribal village called Mishing, these people originally from the hills of Arunachal Pradesh, and they migrated to Majauli island.
Evenign return back to Jorhat.
Dinner and stay at the hotel.

Day 09 : Jorhat – Kaziranga National Park by road ( 150kms/ 3-4hrs approx.)

After breakfast, you will drive by road to Kaziranga National park, which is 150kms west from Jorhat. Kaziranga National park is a world heritage site and famous most for one-horned rhinoceros. The park is host two-thirds numbers of rhinoceros in the world. Kaziranga National park is divided into five zones and the northern part is the bank of Brahmaputra River. It is home to many wild animals such as Rhinoceros, Bengal tiger, Asiatic water buffalo, Elephants and many more. It is also home of several spices of birds such as great greenhorn, black- necked stork, wreathed hornbill, which is a paradise of a birdwatcher. The best time to visit this park is anywhere between November to April.
On arrival you will check-in your hotel and evening you will be visiting Tea, Orchard, and coffee garden.

Day 10 : Kaziranga National Park - visit of Park

Early morning during the sunrise you will have elephant ride in Kaziranga national Park to explore the wildlife.
Return to the hotel for breakfast.
After breakfast you will a jeep safari on sharing basis of Kaziranga National Park with English speaking naturalist.
Rest of the day free at hotel.
Dinner and stay at the hotel.

Day 11 : Kaziranga National Park – Shillong by road (250kms/ 5-6 approx.) via visiting Guwahati

Early morning during the sunrise you will have elephant ride in Kaziranga national Park to explore the wildlife.
After breakfast check-out from the hotel and drive by road to Shilong via visiting Maa Kamkhya Temple in Guwahati.
Mata Kamakhaya is a famous temple and pilgrimage palace of the Hindu religion. It is considered the oldest Shatipiths among all 51 Shaktipiths in India. It is dedicated to the mother goddess Kamakhaya. Later continue drive to Umiam Lake which is located approx. 16 km before from Shilong city on the route of Guwahati – Shilong.
This lake is also known “Bara Pani” mean big water because of its huge size and it is famous for its scenic beauty.
On arrival you will check-in your hotel and rest of the day free at hotel.

Day 12 : Shillong – Cherrapunjee – Shillong by road (60kms approx. / 02 hrs one way)

Morning breakfast at hotel.
Later you will have a full day excursion tour of Cherrapunjee and its surrounding areas. Cherranpunjee is having the highest recorded rainfall in a year in India. Here you can visit the longest limestone caves in India, Mawsmai and Mawmluh caves are more than 3500 years old and it attracts lots of tourists every year, especially those who love adventure. You will also visit Cherrapunje viewpoints Nohkalika falls, Seven sisters, Falls, Eco-park. Later you will be visiting the Living Root Bridge, Mawlynnong village. This bridge is a natural marvel and its made from rubber tree ( Ficus elastic tree) roots and it is the biggest tourist attraction over the year in Meghalaya.
Evening return back to Shilong.

Day 13 : Shillong – Guwahati by road (100kms/ 2-3hrs approx.)

Morning breakfast at hotel.
Later check-out and drive by road to Guwahati. On arrival, you will check-in your hotel and later follow the city tour including The Umananda temple, The astronomical temple of Navagraha, and Assam State Museum.
Evening free time for shopping in the local markets in Guwahati.
Dinner and stay at the hotel.

Day 14 : Guwahati – Kolkatta by Flight

Morning breakfast at hotel.
Later check-out from your hotel and transfer to Guwahati Airport in time for your flight to Kolkata – On arrival in Kolkata airport, you will stay in transit and will catch another flight to your onwards destination.
