Day 01 Arrive at Srinagar

Welcome to India – Srinagar greets you with its utmost charm. You will be received by our representative who drives you to your hotel. Freshen up and gear up for the day as you will be visiting the majestic Mughal Gardens.

The first one to get hypnotized with is NishatBagh – a terraced Mughal garden which is the largest in the Kashmir Valley. NishatBagh means “Garden of Joy”, “Garden of Gladness” and “Garden of Delight”. The garden is beautifully located on the bank of the Dal Lake with Zabarwan Mountains at its backdrop. It was designed and built by Asif Khan in 1633 AD.

Up next on the visit list is Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love) which was built by Jahangir for his wife NurJahan in 1619. It is one of the highest points of Mughal horticulture and called the “Crown of Srinagar”. The garden covers an area of 12.4 hectars with a length of 587 meters on the main axis channel and a total width of 251 meters. The beautification of the garden lies in the three terraces fitted with fountains and with sycamore (chinar) tree-lined vistas.

The total distance of NishatBagh from Srinagar is 12 km and that of Shalimar Bagh is 15 km. You will be taken to visit the carpet weaving factory too to witness how intricately the work is done on the carpets.

Come back to the hotel, have your dinner and spend the night in Srinagar.

Day 02 Srinagar – Sonmarg – Srinagar (168 km)

You will be heading off for the most beautiful excursion of the entire trip. The drive route from Srinagar to Sonmarg (Meadow of Gold) is beautiful and captivating. There are several stops on the way where you can take halts and click pictures.

Continue your drive to Sonmarg 2690 mtrs which is known as the Gateway of Ladakh. Sonmarg has in its proximity some of the great Himalayan glaciers of Kashmir Valley - Kolhoi Glacier and Machoi Glacier are two of them where some of the peaks reach above 5,000 m. Sonmarg is famous as a tourist destination, nestled within the imposing Himalayan peaks at an altitude of 2800 m above sea level.

The excursion is of full day, come back to hotel in the evening. Overnight at Srinagar.

Day 03 Srinagar – Gulmarg 45 km

Have your breakfast and start your journey towards Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers) located 2730 m above sea level. It normally takes around 2 hours to cover 60 km in the journey. Gulmarg is famous hill station and Asia's seventh best skiing destination and the highest golf course of the world with 18 holes. It is located in the PirPanjal Range in the western Himalayas where the road climbs uphill in the last 12 km to Gulmarg which goes amid pine and fir forests.

Get enthralled by the thrilling view of the towering mountain ranges including peaks like the Nanga Parbat (26624 ft) and others, if the weather permits. On your way from Tangmarg to Gulmarg, you will be fascinated by the scenic beauty. We advise you to keep your eyes and cameras both ready to capture some of the most beautiful sights of nature.

Things to do include a 3 hours short trek to Khilangmarg, sledge riding on snow, and chair lifts for mountain rides for those who can’t trek the full stretch.

Come back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 04 Gulmarg to Pahalgam (149 km)

Finish your breakfast and get excited because you will be driven to Pahalgam (Vale of Kashmir) located 2440 mts from sea level. Pahalgam is a popular hill station and one of the most favorite tourist destinations of the country. Thanks to its lush green meadows and pristine waterbodies that thousands of tourists from all over the world are attracted to the place.

On the way, visit the saffron fields and Avantipur ruins – the latter being an old temple ruin that dates 1,100 years back. You would reach Pahalgam during the lunch time. Have your food and get started to explore the green meadows and its mesmerizing flora and fauna. No wonder it is among the most favorites of the Indian Film Industry for its effortless hypnotizing natural beauty.Overnight at hotel in Pahalgam.

Day 05 Pahalgam to Srinagar 93 km

Have breakfast and leave Pahalgam for your way back to Srinagar. You will reach the hotel by lunch time. Afternoon is free for leisure and personal activities. You may use this opportunity up to take a stroll around local market for trying out the delicacies and for shopping. The best pickups are pure Pashmina shawls and stoles, copper utensils, Kashmiri tea, carpets, walnut wood products and spices.

Day 06 Srinagar to Yousmarg to Srinagar 97 km

Head off for a full day trip to Yousmarg (Meadow of Jesus), which is a hill station in the western part of Kashmir Valley. It is alpine valley swarmed with snow clad mountains and cluttered with meadows of pine and fir. Located in the PirPanjal peaks – the Sunset Peak and the Tatakooti Peak get special mention. The drive route up to Yousmarg is the most beautiful summer resort in the entire valley.

There is a trekking route of 4 km that stretches to a small lake that is worth visiting. Another trek of 10 km takes you to the frozen lake in Sang-e-Safed valley that is covered in ice throughout the year. You may also try horse riding, fishing, skiing during winter and photography as some of the most preferred tourist activities.

Come back to Srinagar for dinner and overnight stay in deluxe houseboat in the Dal Lake.

Day 07 Drop at Srinagar Airport

Your trip nears its end. Head off to the airport after having breakfast to catch your return or outbound flight. End of your Kashmir Holiday Package.
