What is the best time to travel to North India?

North India has a distinct climatic province that includes the Himalayan Mountain Ranges to the

desert state of Rajasthan. It is a part of India who attracts people throughout the year as

climate varies in different zones. Let’s have a look at the places where you can visit in the

summer season, in the monsoon season and in the winter season.

In Summer season:

As in India, there are different kinds of season but also in India, you can find places for each

season. Like in Summer season (April – September), the plains are experiencing the blistering

heat of the sun, So I would like to recommend you to visit the Hill station part of India. It

includes Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh. At these places you can

enjoy a lot of adventurous activities like trekking, paragliding, skiing etc. Also you can enjoy the

beauty of Kashmir which is also popular by the name “Heaven on earth”. Not only Kashmir,

Himachal Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh are in a queue to give a different kind of experience

which you will never ever have in your life.

In Monsoon season:

If you are planning to enjoy the visit of the oldest city of India – Varanasi, then I will recommend

you to not visit this city during monsoon season as you may miss the interesting boat ride in

river ganges and also might not be able to see from the boat the cremation at the shores of

river ganges.

If you are thinking of traveling to India during the monsoon season, then you can visit Haridwar

and Rishikesh where you can enjoy the calmness and tranquility while attending the Yoga and

Spa sessions.

In Winter season:

During Winter and Spring season, travelers can enjoy the beauty of the northern part to the

fullest. This season starts from October and ends in the Mid of March, when the weather is

amiable in the deserts of Rajasthan. According to me, It is one of the best times to visit North

India as this time is the time of festivals in India and one can enjoy the colorful festivals of

North India.

Also during the winter season, one can enjoy the visit to the fullest in the monuments of Delhi

and Agra, Forts and Palaces of Rajasthan and Holy temples of Varanasi as the weather is quite

pleasant.

So when you are planning to visit North India, you can visit at any time of the year as some city

will be waiting for you to offer you a different level of experience in your life.
