Your first visit would be to the Indian capital where you will get to brush up your historical knowledge. The real part of the tour will start the second day when you reach Leh and Ladakh, the highest plateau in Kashmir. Leh will offer you ample opportunities to lose yourself in the spiritual ambience of its monasteries like the Spituk and Phyang Monastery. Feast your eyes and soul with the one of a kind Buddha statues found in the Shey monastery and the Thiksey monastery. Day 01 Arrival and excursion in Delhi

The first day of the Leh Ladakh Tour would begin by you arriving in Delhi, where you will be escorted by our representative to your hotel. Your first trip would be to Rajghat, the memorial built to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi. While travelling past the Red Fort and Chandni Chowk Market, you will reach the next destination, Jama Masjid. You can even get down at the Chandni Chowk market for shopping. The market is famous for clothes, street food and jewels.

In the afternoon, you will get to visit the historical highlights like Qutub Minar, Humayun tomb and the India Gate. You will next be driven past the Parliament House, President's House and other Government Secretarial Buildings to reach the final destination of the day, Lakshminarayan temple. Your overnight stay would be in Delhi.

Highlights: Delhi - Visit Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid, Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb, Laxmi Narayan Temple & drive past Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, President House, Parliament. etc.

Day 02 Flight from Delhi to Leh

The second day morning, you will be driven to the airport to catch the flight to Leh, where you will be accommodated at a hotel. This day you can plan your own itinerary and explore Ladakh, the highest plateau in Kashmir. This day is kept free for you to get acclimatized to the altitude. There are many places to visit while staying in Leh, like the Siachen Glacier ) the highest and coldest battlefield in the world) It is also known as the “Third Pole” present in the Karakoram Range and the various Buddhist shrines spread all over Ladakh. Your overnight stay would be in Leh.

Day 03 Exploring the monasteries of Leh

This morning you will be taken to the nine storey Leh Palace, the Islamic-Tibetan mosque and the famous bazaar of Leh. In the afternoon, you will be taken to the Phyang & Spituk Monasteries. In the Spituk Monastery, you can see the unveiling of the giant statue of Kali if the Gustor Festival is going on. In the Phyang Monastery , you will be mesmerized with the extensive collection of idols, thangkas, firearms and weapons that adorn the monastery. Your overnight stay would be at Leh.

Day 04 Touring the monasteries near Leh

This day includes a full day excursion where you will get to visit the Shey monastery, famous for its giant gold gilded copper statue of a seated Buddha, and the Thiksey monastery known for its 15 m high statue of the future Buddha "Maitreya". In the end, you will get to explore the Hemis monastery, where colorful festivalis celebrated every year in the month of July. Your overnight stay would be back in Leh.

Day 05 Sightseeing in Leh

On this day, you can plan your day as per your wish. One can visit the vibrant and interesting bazaars in the vicinity or any nearby monasteries. For an adventurous trip, you can plan for a soft trekking tour. You can even trek to and explore the various religious palacelike the Shanti Stupa on the Changspa hilltop, the Sankar Gompa and the Soma Gompa. Other stopovers could be made at the War Museum and the Donkey Sanctuary, which is open throughout the day. You will stay overnight in Leh.

Day 06 Drive from Leh to Alchi to Lamayuru to Kargil

The sixth day would be include an eventful drive from Leh to Kargil, via Alchi and Lamayuru. At the Alchi Monastery Complex, you can check out one of the oldest surviving paintings in Ladakh. You can explore the famous Dukhang, the Sumtseg and Manjushri Temple near the Alchi Monastery. In the Lamayuru monastery, you can enjoy the masked festival if the time is during the second and fifth month of the Tibetan calendar. At last, you will reach Kargil, where you will stay overnight.

Day 07 Driving from Kargil to Srinagar (Driving time approx.. 06hrs)

From Kargil you will be driven to Srinagar via the Zozi La Pass, which is one of the highest passes in Kashmir. Known as a paradise on earth, Srinagar offers the chance to checkout the various gardens, traditional handicrafts, carpets and shawls famous here. Some of the beautiful gardens of this city worth exploring include the Chashma Shahi, Pari Mahal, Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh. Your overnight stay would be in Srinagar.

Day 08 Touring Srinagar monuments

This morning of the best Leh Ladakh tour, you will be offered the once in a lifetime opportunity to ride in the famous shikara (boat) for exploring the lakes as well as observing the daily activities around the lake. The rest of the day, you can either spend strolling across Srinagar or take an optional tour to Pahalgam. At an altitude of 7200 ft, you can take a trek from Pahalgam. Near Pahalgam are the Chandanwari point from where the Amarnath Yatra starts. Your overnight stay would be in Srinagar.

Day 09 Touring Gulmarg in Srinagar

This day would be fully dedicated to the excursion of Gulmarg, “Meadow of Flowers”. You would get many once in a lifetime opportunities while exploring Gulmarg, like skiing in the highest slope of Asia and golfing in the highest golf club of the world. Other adventure sports which you can enjoy include trekking, fishing, water skiing, horse riding and mountain biking. Your overnight stay would be in Srinagar.

Day 10 Srinagar to Delhi by flight

On the tenth day of the tour, you would be driven to the Srinagar airport to catch the flight back to Delhi. When you reach Delhi, you would be escorted to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure to relax or explore the nearby area. Transport is available on request. Overnight is in Delhi.

Day 11 Departure

The last morning of the Leh Ladakh tour, you would be driven to the Delhi airport from your hotel for your return/onward flight.
