Day 1: Delhi - Gaya (990 kms) by overnight train Mahparinirvana

You need to report at 1500hrs at Safdarjung railway station, New Delhi. Here you will meet with our office representative, who will brief you about tour and will give some travel documents including tour program, contact details of local person in every city, map which will be very useful during your journey.
He will clear your check-in formalities; will offer you seats according to travel class and then train will departure for Gaya at 1600hrs.
Enjoy the overnight train Journey in Indian train.
Evening Tea and Snake will be served on the train.
Overnight and dinner on train.

Day 2: Gaya – Bodhgaya by raod (20kms /01 minutes)

Early morning you will arrive at Gaya Railway station and later you will be transfer by road to Bodhgaya. On arrival you will check-in your hotel.
Bodhgaya is most of the important place for Buddhists and it is located on the bank of Niranjana river. The first temple was built here by King Ashoka. According to Buddhism, Gautam Buddha was born 563 BC in Lumbini. He left his family at the age of 29 and decided to travel in the search of the truth. He spent a couple of years in Bodhgaya and he attained enlightenment here.
After refreshing and having breakfast, you will be visiting some important tourist destination of Bodhgaya covering Mahabodhi Temple, Niranjana River and Bodhhi Tree. You will also visit various temples like Japanease Temple, Thai Temple and Buddha Statue.

Day 3: Bodhgaya – Same day excursion of Rajgir and Nalanda (95kms/ 2-3hrs one way) and Gaya – Varanasi by Overnight Train

Post breakfast drive early for your same day excursion tour of Rajgir and Nalanda.
Rajgir is very important Buddhist site as Lard Buddha spent here 12 years of their life and also preached here. On arrival you will be visiting world peace pagoda, which is built on a hill. You can either take a ropeway or climb 600 stairs to reach this temple, later you can visit Swarn Bhandar, Venu Van and Saptaparni cave.
Post lunch continue drive to Nalanda and visit Nalanda University. According to historical sources, this university had lasted almost 800 years. It is believed to have had 2,000 teachers and 10,000 students. The knowledgeable teachers of Nalanda's University used to attract scholars from China, Korea, Japan, Sri Lanka, and Tibet, students used to come here to get a good education. It is also believed that it was a complete residential University. After visiting the ruins of Nalanda University, next you will visit Nalanda Museum.
Later you will return Gaya.
After the dinner you will be transfer to Gaya railway station in time for your overnight train to Varanasi.

Day 4: Arrival Varanasi – Sarnath and Varanasi – Gorakhpur by overnight train

Early morning you will arrive at Varanasi Railway station and transfer to your hotel and check-in. After freshen-up and breakfast visit Sarnath.
Sarnath has very interesting remains which consist of ancient stupas, temples, and monasteries. The stupas Dharmarajika, Chaukhandi, and Dharnek are exceptional. The beautifully polished lion capital of Ashoka is also very fascinating to see. There is a rich library in Sarnath with a Mula Gandha Kutir Vihara where you can see excellent frescoes by Kosetsu Nosu. In Sarnath, you can also visit the Sarnath Museum which contains some of the fine specimens of Buddhist sculpture.
Post lunch you will visit some interesting tourist places like Vishav Hindu University, Bharat Mata temple and local market. Evening enjoy a boat ride on river Ganges and attend the spectacular prayer ceremony on the Ganges Ghat.
Evening you will be transfer to Varanasi railway station to board your train to Gorakhpur.
Overnight and Dinner on Train.

Day 5: Arrival Gorakhpur – and Gorakhpur – Kushinagar by road (60kms/02hrs)

Early morning arrival at Gorakhpur Railway station and you will be transfer by road to Khushinagar. On arrival you will check-in your hotel.
Khushinagar is an important tourist destination of Buddhist sector, which is located 320kms north from Bodhgaya. It is place where Gautama Buddha attained Parinirvana after his death. After freshen-up and breakfast follow the city tour.
First, you will be taken to Parinirvana temple, here you will see the reclining Nirvana statue of Gautam Buddha, which is 06.10 meters long and is made by monolith red stone. Next, you will visit Nirvana stupa which is just located behind of Parinirvana temple. Then you will be taken to Rambhar Stupa which is a cremation place of Gautam Budhha, after paying homage you will be visiting various temple-like Indo-Japan-Srilanka temple, Tai Wat temple, and Burmese temple.
Evening you will be attending session for a chanting and meditation.
Overnight and Dinner at hotel.

Day 6: Kushinagar – Lumbini – Gorakhpur by road and Gorakhpur-Gonda by Overnight train

Early morning post breakfast you will drive by road to Lumbini Nepal. While reaching Indo – Nepal border you need to take the visa and complete immigration formalities.
After taking the Nepal visa you will continue drive to Lumbini and on arrival you will follow the city tour. First you will be taken to sacred garden of the Mayadevi temple which considers the birth of Lord Buddha and later shows the Ashok pillar and the Sakyan reservoir. Later you will be visiting other important tourist places like Bodhi tree, Mayadevi pond, World peace pagoda, Lumbini Museum, Royal Thai Buddhist monasteries.
After visiting Lumbini drive back to Gorakhpur. On arrival in Gorakhpur and you will be transfer direct to Gorakhpur railway station in time for your train to Gonda.
Overnight and Dinner on Train.

Day 7: Arrive Gonda and same day excursion of Sravasti (65kms/ 2hrs approx.) and Gonda- Agra by overnight train

Early morning you will arrive at Gonda railway station and continue drive to Sravasti which is 65 kms north from Gonda. On arrival you will check-in your hotel and after freshen-up and breakfast you will be visiting Sravast. Fist you will be taken to t Jetavana, which is one the most famous Buddhist monasteries, spend here some time for meditation and know more about the Buddhism. Next, you will visit Anand Bodhi tree.
Later you will be taken to Mahamangaljay Temple, which has a giant golden statue of Lord Buddha, Pakki Kuti, Sehat Mahet and Thai Temple.
After the lunch at hotel h drive back to Gonda railway station. Here you will board the train to Agra.
Overnight and dinner on Train.

Day 8: Arrive Agra and Agra – Delh by train

Early morning at Agra railway station and your breakfast will be on-board. Later you will be taken to Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal is a seven wonders of the world and it was built by Shahjanhan in the memory of his queen Mumtaj Mahal.
After visiting Taj Mahal you will have lunch at local restaurant and post lunch you will be transfer to Agra railway station in time for your train to Delhi. On arrival you will be reaching at Safadarjung at around 1830hrs.
