Daman and Diu Tour

When we talk about beaches in India, Goa is the first place that comes to peoples’ minds. But only a few people know that there are other places as well which offer you the experience of beaches. Daman and Diu are one of those perfect beach holiday destinations. Daman is around 200 km away from Pune. 

Daman and Diu is a place that was ruled over 45 years by the Portuguese. Being a former Portuguese colony, you can see various numbers of houses and buildings in a Portuguese architectural style. 1. Diu Fort: 

Diu fort is located on the western coast of India. This fort was constructed by the Portuguese during their rule. The Portuguese name of the fort is ‘Praça de Diu’. This fort is always on the list of the tourists who want to visit Daman and Diu. 

This fort is now maintained and taken care of by the administration of the Indian Government. The fort holds an extremely beautiful view of the sea.

2. Fort Jerome:

This fort is situated on the Damanganga river in Daman. It was specially built for the purpose to see the activities happening in the sea. The main attraction of the fort is the church which is an example of Portuguese style architecture. Also, the part of the church is now converted into a school.

3.  Bom Jesus Church:

This church holds a place in the heart of the people who want to visit Daman and Diu. This church is located in Moti Daman, Daman. This church is famous for its Roman-style architecture. The construction of this beautiful church was initiated in 1559 AD and was done in 1603 AD. 

This church is not only part of the Portuguese architecture but also a major heritage site of Daman which makes it the main attraction.

4. Jampore Beach:

Jampore beach is considered to be the must-visit place in Daman and Diu. It is considered to be one of the most alluring, breathtaking, and beautiful beaches amongst the others. This beach is on the south side of the Moti Daman, Daman. 

The calmness of the beach makes this place a perfect spot for a picnic with your friends and loved ones. If you are a photography lover, then this beach is an ideal place for you as you can capture many stunning pictures at the time of sunset in your camera.

These are the most renowned places which you can visit while having a tour of Daman and Diu. My favorite place to visit and spend quality time was Jampore Beach. The best thing is the calmness at that place that I loved the most.
