Goa’s stunning beaches will make your holiday fun and exciting and its gorgeous churches and monuments will leave you amazed . Goa is divided into two parts – North Goa and South Goa. Both the places are exclusive and offer something to everyone .You can do adventurous water sports , do yoga , enjoy nightlife filled with beach parties and buy cool stuff in its vibrant markets. Goa has a very relaxing atmosphere which will take all your stress away . I love everything about Goa and I assure you that if you visit once in Goa , then you will visit here again and again and every time it will be even more fun than the last time. So now let’s talk about the places or things you must see or do in Goa.
Visit Baga Beach
If you are in Goa then it should be a must visit place for you as it is one of the best beaches and a major tourist attraction of Goa. It is a superb place for swimming and relaxing and there are many restaurants and bars you can eat and enjoy and the most famous restaurant is Tito’s which serves the best seafood . If you want to have some fun and attend parties then visit the Baga Beach at night and have a great time. I have visited many beaches in Goa but this one is my favorite. You can also shop here as there is tibetan market near the Beach. I shopped a lot of things from this market for my friends and family.
Apart from all this , you can also enjoy water sports like parasailing, banana boat ride , jet-skiing , scuba diving and more.
Have fun at Calangute Beach
Calangute beach also known as the Queen of Beaches is a must go place. You cannot miss the famous cuisine and drinks of goa . At night you can also have candle light dinner with your loved one or enjoy at the cool clubs of this beach . I recommend you to visit this beach once in the early morning and take long walks and enjoy the weather and once at night and feel relaxed while listening to the calming sounds of tides. It will be a very exciting experience for you and do capture a lot of pictures and create lifetime memories because you are definitely going to miss this place. I stayed in Goa near this beach and used to visit once in morning and once at night because you just can’t get over this place. I attended a night party here at the club with the music and the drinks and trust me Goa is the perfect party place.
Rent a Bike and explore the vibrant streets of Goa
You will feel so liberated in Goa as you can rent a bike or a scooty and explore Goa on your own. You can visit the beaches and roam around the streets where you will see the colorful houses of Goa and many street markets . Even roaming around in goa on a bike is a great fun which you will remember for a long time and i suggest you to go at night too to experience the nightlife of Goa. We also rented a bike and went to different restaurants of Goa to try out new dishes and the specialty of Goa – Seafood which was just delicious . So in my experience renting a bike is a must in Goa.
The most popular Basilica of Bom Jesus Church
Goa is well known for its stunning churches and their architecture and Basilica of Bom Jesus Church is the best church in Goa with amazing history and unique architecture. You will love everything here and the most special thing about this church that it has a mummy . In the month of December it usually gets very crowded near the time of christmas and new year and i think it is the best time to visit when a lot of festivities are going on and the church is fully decorated and looks exquisite.
Marvelous Aguada Fort
This fort is one of the most popular tourist destinations of Goa. It is a very beautiful portuguese fort with a lighthouse . Every traveler visits this fort as it is very interesting to see and a wonderful place for clicking photos too. From the fort you get an incredible view of the Sea and can spend nice moments here . This fort is so popular that many bollywood movies like ‘Dil Chahta hai “ and “ Rang de Basanti “ have been shot here. The best time to visit this fort is the monsoon season when the weather is at its best and you can enjoy its beauty. When i visited the fort it started raining and i enjoyed so much roaming around the fort in the perfect weather.
Dolphin Drive
If you are planning your next trip to Goa then this Dolphin Drive is must for everybody . You will take a boat ride and will get a chance to spot Dolphins in Arabian Sea. During this Drive you will also see the old portuguese jail of Goa , Fort Aguada lighthouse and well known millionaire palace. It is a very fun activity and an enjoyable experience . This is around 01 hour trip but you won’t be disappointed. I have experienced this on my own and felt so happy and clicked a lot of beautiful shots of Dolphins.
Do Shopping
I think shopping should be on everyone’s list as it makes your vacation more fun and memorable . Don’t you think? Goa is not only known for its beaches and crazy nightlife but is also a heaven for shopaholics . You will find everything here from jewellery , clothes , bags , handicrafts to liquor and many more things . There are many street markets and night bazaars (markets) where you can shop for your friends and family and get something as a memory . The most famous shopping places are Calangute market , Anjuna flea market , Arpora Saturday market and little Tuk Tuk shop etc . I recommend you to buy seashells products and cashew nuts as they are the speciality of Goa. On my trip to Goa I bought jewellery and a bag made of coconut which was so beautiful and interesting .
Water Sports
If you are looking for some adventure then goa has many fabulous opportunities for you . You can have so much fun and enjoy exciting water activities in Goa like Scuba Diving ,Jet Skiing , Parasailing , Banana Tube Boat Ride , Speed Boating and much more . You should absolutely do any of these sports for a rejuvenating and blissful experience with your friends . People from all over the world come to Goa to explore and do something adventurous .
Trust me, Goa has a lot to offer to every traveler and it should be on your bucket list . I have gone to Goa a few times and still want to go again and again and enjoy its nightlife and experience the life of Goa.
