1. Bambarakanda Falls:

Bambarakanda falls is the highest waterfall in Sri Lanka. This waterfall is a seasonal waterfall that peaks from October to March, and its remote location makes it a little difficult to get to. This waterfall is surrounded by the thick pine forest. The height of this waterfall is 263 Metres.

The entire stream sways to and fro due to powerful winds rushing over the waterfall, providing a stunning view from the mountain top.

2. Bomburu Ella:

Bomburu Ella is a waterfall in Sri Lanka’s Uva-Paranagama Divisional Secretariat, located 13 kilometres from Hakgala Botanical Gardens and 19 kilometres from Nuwara Eliya Bus Stand. Bomburu Ella, the widest waterfall in Sri Lanka, is located along the Nuwara Eliya-Badulla district boundary and is one of Nuwara Eliya’s must-see attractions.

This waterfall is also popular by the name – Perawella falls. It drops from a height of about 165 feet (50 m). The waterfall is a series of around ten lesser-known jungle waterfalls in the Sita Eliya Kandapola Forest Reserve, located between 1500 and 2000 metres above sea level.

The Bomburu Ella village, which can be reached by public transportation, private vehicle or tuk-tuk, will serve as the starting point for the trek to the top of Bomburu Ella Fall. The road is in good condition until you enter the village, where you can begin the 2-kilometre hike to the waterfall. For comfort and ease of entry, parking spaces will be accessible at the hike’s starting point.

3. Dunhinda Falls:

Dunhinda falls is Sri Lanka’s one of the most alluring waterfalls. When it falls into the pool from a height of 64 metres, it makes the most magnificent scene. This waterfall is located at Mahiyangana Road, Sri Lanka. This paradise is only 5 kilometres from Badulla city.

4. Aberdeen falls:

Aberdeen Waterfall is located in the Nuwara Eliya district of Sri Lanka, in Ginigathena. At a height of 98 metres, this waterfall is Sri Lanka’s 18th highest waterfall. Mythology says that between this waterfall and nearby Laxapana falls, there is a tunnel that connects both of these waterfalls

5. Devon falls:

Devon Falls is situated in the district named Nuwara Eliya in Sri Lanka. It is named after a pioneer English tea planter named Devon. His plantation was located near this waterfall. The name of this waterfall, a pioneer English tea planter, was given the name. This waterfall was next to his plantation. This impressive 97-meter-high waterfall is located on the Kotmale Oya River. Devon Fall is located at 1140 metres above sea level.

It’s a multi-tiered waterfall that’s also popular as “Veil of the Valley.” Devon Falls is ranked as Sri Lanka’s 19th largest waterfall.
