Is India a good place for Photography
A lot of you wonder whether is it worth traveling to India for photography ? Well my friends India is full of beautiful places or I must say heaven for photographers. You do not need to look for places, as streets of India are the best place for photography. One can never know what they might find on the streets as there is a subject everywhere and they only need the vision to capture it.
Indian street photography can be fun! Indian people are friendly and definitely not camera shy, most of the time. Don’t be afraid to talk to people; ask to take their photos and the chances are they will be happy to oblige.
One thing that makes India so good for street photography is that so much of life actually happens outside, in full view, right on the street.
You will encounter people seeing the dentist, having a haircut, lifting weights, cooking food, meditating, selling goods, cleaning shoes, charming snakes and much more.
You will have many enjoyable encounters with people you meet on the street, and you will likely get a lot of friendly interest in what you are up to, especially when people see you wielding your camera.
India is rich with beautiful mountains, rivers, wildlife, beaches, monasteries, incredible architecture of temples, forts, Palaces, museums etc. Instead of these you have options to take picture of unique things which you will not find anywhere like dabbawalas in Mumbai, mud house in rural areas, bullock cart, Elephant, camel walking on road, men & women wearing beautiful Indian traditional dresses, Hindu’s marriage, kite flying, Ayurveda, people doing yoga on river side, lifestyle of saints and Sadhus of Varanasi which will not disappoint you makes you a best photographers.
One thing you need to keep in mind while taking photos as some of the temples, monuments do not permit to take photos.
